The Kingston 16GB Data Traveler 160 USB Flash Drive is a USB 2.0 flash memory drive for use with both Macintosh and PC computers. It may be used to transfer files from one platform to another, or to carry files and small applications on a continuing basis. Having no moving parts, flash drives are exceptionally durable and reliable for years of use. The flash drive is now a commodity. With any commodity, packaging and hardware quality are primary ways to distinguish products. Speaking of distinguished, the Kingston DT160 oozes quality, from the solid, confidence-building materials used to the firm click with which the business end is extended and retracted. Folks, this is the one you need for generous capacity and absolute usability.

Has performed as necessary. No problems, although I would have preferred some sort of protective cover for the USB male part.

Built more sturdily than expected. Worked great straight from the package. Only usedit for ten days, but so far fine.

Comments about Kingston 16GB Data Traveler 160 USB Flash Drive:
I have had no problems with the drive. And the 16GB capacity is more than adequate. The sliding cover feels a bit flimsy and since the cover does not protect the opening of the USB connection, one might not want to carry the drive in a pocket or purse where dirt might get in. But with moderate care, it should last.

Comments about Kingston 16GB Data Traveler 160 USB Flash Drive:
Purchased for my son to use as he has just entered first year of college (Fall 2010). Good for carrying homework & such to store/transfer on separate drive at home, etc (and a backup for anything lost, as you could just put this is your car, pants or bookbag and carry almost anywhere).
