OConnor O-Grips Double Jointed Set
The OConnor O-Grips Double Jointed Set is a set of modular O-Grips configured to create double handles for custom applications, and can be used for payloads up to 44 lb (20kg). A titanium core based construction provides rigidity and stability for camera mounted operations. Wide compatibility is offered by the O-Grips bridge that supports the 15mm and 19mm Studio and 15mm LWS standard rod systems.
You can achieve complete spherical stepless articulation owing to the combination of 2 grips constituting the double jointed design. Addition of optional accessories as well as multiple-point connection on to camera systems is possible via the 3/8 stainless steel top screw and 3/8 bottom thread. You can quickly attach and remove the O-Grips system from the camera system using a commonly available 5mm Allen wrench.

When you purchase a tank reviews will say, "built like O'connor O-Grips". These handles are SOLID!
What I love...I am coming from standard handles on a shoulder rig. They work fine with the usual frustrations of movement when any pressure is applied. The o-grips are not only rock solid but the positioning is so comfortable.
Because of the double joint articulation you can position the camera (pmw f3) in a much more balanced position. It feels right. The length of the second handle puts your arms in the right position...just above the waist.
The handles themselves add a couple of pounds to your rig but being very weight picky myself I can say it's the best weight you'll add to your setup. Because of the improved balance the overall setup actually feels lighter.
I justify the higher price of these handle with two things.
1. I love working with well built equipment.
2. These are the only handles I will ever need to purchase.
These grips impressed me when I already had very high expectations. I'm getting my O-Box today so the setup will be complete.

The O-Grips are expensive so I give these only 4 out of 5 stars but the construction, look, feel and operation is top quality. I use them with a 5D set up that includes a cage, power supply, SDI converter, external viewfinder and a Cube 150. My set up is a bit heavy and the O-Grips do remain rock solid as I operate the set up in different handhold positions. I will use these with each of my camera systems from now on.

Very strong & light (solid titanium core), and highly configurable to whatever rig you need to build. The dovetail groove in the (top) connecting screw/ball joint prevents any twisting motion so they stay locked tight to each other...or to any matching component in the O'Conner "O" system, including the "O-box" (mattbox) which has three, 3/8" mounting points for the grips as well. A little pricey for handles, but they'll last a lifetime and work with any rig weight from D-SLR on up to the heaviest of systems. The design is almost like a work of art.
