The case is made from genuine leather for durability and a suede-like interior with a classy embossed design. The original camera strap attaches to the strap hook and makes it easy to remove the case to change battery or media card.

Very well constructed. Wish it wasn't necessary to remove the case to hook up the USB cable or change batteries, but that is unreasonable.

Fits great on my NEX-5, easy to put on and remove for easy access to the battery and card. Was looking for something to protect the camera without being too bulky and this did a great job. Like others I wish the Jacket and body case could have been purchased as a package as I think the body case doesn't really have a use without the jacket.

This case is the same level of quality as all Sony products. So well designed with an embossed finish that it doesn't look like leather. Has a rich leather smell though. A little hassle to remove when changing memory or batteries. Protects the base when the camera is set down. I May consider getting the lens portion so that I don't have to take a bag as often.

fits my nex 5 perfectly easy to remove to replace battery or card. I'm not sure it is made of real leather. It doesn't feel or smell like real leater but that is beside the main point. It protects the camera and fells good as a grip surface.
