MuxLab 500302 VideoEase CATV Balun II
The MuxLab 500302 VideoEase CATV Balun II allows integration of terrestrial broadband video (bandwidth up to 900 MHz) and internet equipment, and transmits video signal up to 330' via Cat5 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable depending on the channel frequency and input power. Besides using Cat5 as an alternative to coaxial cabling, the balun also makes changes / additions to modular outlet connections faster and easier.
Supporting broadband CATV, VHF, FM, broadband internet, and digital cable, the balun is ideal for use in schools, government offices, hospitals, financial institutions, hotels and residential complexes and condominiums. Providing a hassle-free cabling solution, it connects to terrestrial CATV, private RF networks, guestroom TV, local channel amplified antennas, DVD players, RF modulators, splitters, combiners, amplifiers, cable modems, and other broadband video equipments.
Designed to work in pairs, the CATV balun is installed at the receiver end, on the connection between the RF head end and the set-top tuner or cable modem. Made of ABS fire retardant plastic, the compact modular balun measures 2.5 x 1" (6.35 x 2.54 cm) diameter, and features low return loss that ensures maximum power transfer with no line faults between the input and output.
