These discs are by far the best. There are hardly ever disc errors when burning. It is worth the extra few dollars. I have not had any Verbatim disc turn into a coaster yet.

Comments about Verbatim DVD+R Double Layer, Recordable Disc (Spindle Pack of 50):
These are very good to use in situations where the data set is too large to fit on a conventional DVD but small enough that I hate to burn a Blu-Ray disc for storing it. I use it only internally, since many people have DVD drives that can't read a double layer disc.

Comments about Verbatim DVD+R Double Layer, Recordable Disc (Spindle Pack of 50):
After getting a "good deal" on blank Memorex DL DVDs at a local brick and mortar shop, I regretted the purchase because several of the DVDs errored during recordings. Those error-prone discs turned the good deal into a waste of time and money. The Verbatim DL DVD+R spindle of 50 disks have not errored even once after burning through about 20% of the stack. I'll order Verbatim brand exclusively in the future for quality and use B&H for great prices [...]

Comments about Verbatim DVD+R Double Layer, Recordable Disc (Spindle Pack of 50):
I TRUST THESE DISCS! As a collector and a seller of public domain films on DVD, and a professional photographer, I burn a lot of DVDs, and I refuse to compress to save space. I have tried other brand name DL media, winding up with more coasters than playable discs. VERBATIM +R DL RECORDABLE DISCS are the way to go. No customer complaints, no coasters. The burns are clean, last, and play in any system that takes DL media. They are also great for archiving large photo files (1700 wedding photos of 10MP & up size), or anything else you want to preserve. The DL size is perfect for larger projects, but the real plus is the reliability! Burn time, of course, depends upon your equipment and what you are burning. The value for the money per disc is also terrific, but to me this is secondary. I can TRUST these discs!

Comments about Verbatim DVD+R Double Layer, Recordable Disc (Spindle Pack of 50):
So far, they write and later read flawlessly on a number of burners and players. Well-balanced, a sign of careful manufacturing. The lines on the label side are helpful in titling. Expensive but probably worth the cost in avoiding disappointment, wasted time and "coasters."
