I bought this to extend the focal point on one of my camera's. It acts like a mechanical zoom, the only sacrafice is that it does not utilize the whole sensor area of the camera. A small sacrafice depending one what you want to do.
Seems to be better quality than most distributers from China.
I am not so hot on the denominations they provide. And the Aluminum is not as good as stainless provided by other people (edmund optics), cuz it could warp and get stuck to you lens. If you have a lens you care dearly for, I would recommend purchasing stainless version.
