I recently picked up another camera body so of course needed a few extra batteries and CF cards. I own several of the 300X 8G Lexar cards so when I saw a great B&H price on a 400X had to jump on it! I don't know that I've noticed the extra speed but I'm sure it's there.
The only time I had a Lexar card fail was my own fault. I had been in the rain and my jacket got soaked with my cards in a pocket. They were in a plastic bag but still water seeped through. Water got into the contact holes and rendered a couple of them useless. I sprayed them down with canned air and left them out on a table. A few hours later they were as good as new.

Comments about Lexar 8GB Professional 400x CompactFlash Card (One Card):
I have used 300x Lexar pro cards in my Nikon D300 for several years and have never had an issue. They've performed flawlessly.
The 400x card seems to be no exception. Lexar is the name I trust and rely on for solid performance.

Comments about Lexar 8GB Professional 400x CompactFlash Card (One Card):
I've used Lexar cards almost exclusively. Bought a couple of these when they were on sale recently, to replace other cards of lower capacity.
Very impressed with the higher transfer speeds.

Comments about Lexar 8GB Professional 400x CompactFlash Card (One Card):
I use 8GB CF cards to shoot weddings. I like to use the smaller cards and use 5 or 6 during the course of an event because if one of them goes down, I will have compromised only a small chunk of the event. I find the 400x speed more than adequate for shooting single frames and for a few short bursts. The only reasn I could see using a 600X card would be for video.

Comments about Lexar 8GB Professional 400x CompactFlash Card (One Card):
So far I've used this in my recently purchased Canon 10D camera. I was worried that because of the age of the camera it wouldn't be able to handle the size of the memory card but I've been shooting high speed sport setting and other than learning the camera itself the memory card works great and I love the recovery software! I recommend it to anyone :)

Comments about Lexar 8GB Professional 400x CompactFlash Card (One Card):
I read comments about this card that were not favorable so I was hesitant to buy the card. I bought it anyways because I was on a budget at that moment and had to have the cards, but it has worked flawlessly! I shoot with a canon 7D and just trying it out I was able to shoot 30 pictures on burst without any lag, which is exactly what I needed.

Comments about Lexar 8GB Professional 400x CompactFlash Card (One Card):
Great for weddings and other events. I also prefer the 8gb card for studio and location photoshoots. I shoot in raw and it allows me to get all the shots I need especially when things are flowing. I was concerned about using a memory card larger than 4gb for fear of losing critical shots due to card failure (especially weddings) but I've never lost a single photo using a Lexar card. I use the Lexar cards with confidence!

Comments about Lexar 8GB Professional 400x CompactFlash Card (One Card):
We are wedding photographers and put our equipment through the ringer. We had an error reading one of the cards after a wedding we shot, so we downloaded the recovery software that Lexar designed. We recovered every photo. THEN, I called Lexar and they sent me an RMA to get it replaced. In four days they had sent us a replacement.
We haven't had any other issues, BUT these are lifetime warranty memory cards....you can't go wrong!

I own 2 Canon 7D cameras and always buy fast professional CF cards, my brand of preference is LEXAR is a personal thing because I've never had any problems with them, therefore I feel safe with this brand. It's been a long way since I purchased my first professional LEXAR 1 GB slow card and paid [$], so the quality & trust are there and the price today is superb, buy it from B&H and you can't go wrong.
