International orders*This Ikelite 6211.05 Ultra Compact Housing is designed for the Sony DSC-HX5V and H55 digital cameras. It is an injection-molded clear polycarbonate case, known for its strength and corrosion-free properties. The housing offers an unobstructed view of the camera's information and control functions and operates safely to a depth of 200'. An easy-open latch along with drop-in camera loading make set-up a breeze. The housing is sized and weighted for near-neutral buoyancy and superb handling underwater. You can access all camera controls through the housing except the HX5V camera's "Burst" feature.
A flash diffuser is included to improve lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used underwater. For optimum lighting underwater an optional external strobe is recommended. Two 12/24 threaded mounts on the bottom of the housing allow for the secure attachment of optional trays and lighting accessories. Ikelite strobes are brighter, recycle faster and offer wider coverage than the camera's flash. Being farther from the camera lens, the strobe reduces the illumination of particles in the water, which helps eliminate backscatter.
Wide angle conversion lenses are not compatible with this housing, but by using the optional Ikelite WD-4 Wide Angle Conversion Dome you will correct for the size distortion that occurs underwater. Since the cameras feature a 25mm wide angle lens this is wide enough to capture large subjects. By getting close and eliminating as much water as possible between you and your subject, you will get increased contrast and better color. The dome can be attached and removed when underwater. For close up work, you can use the Ikelite adapter 9306.82 to attach macro lenses by Epoque and Inon.

I got to use this housing on four dives last week.
What can I say ..... the camera drops in and all you have to do is shut the lid and.... ta da underwater video and camera. how easy can it be. I will say the zoom feature for the camera takes some getting used to. It is not spring loaded so you must return the zoom to center to stop zooming in or out. a small spring could have easily solved this problem and made this a perfect housing for this camera. despite this it works great and mine has been retrofitted to spring back. this is a great housing with an amazing latch that that locks and is simple to use

Case was great, did what it is suppose to, kept the camera dry. More important was B&H's service. I called at 5 PM Wednesday December 29th. I did not want to order from a NY store as the airports there we just getting back up after a snow storm. However, no one else in the country (FL & CHG) had the housing or cared to make an effort to ship it overnight. You see moments before I had broke my old Olympus housing while preping it for a Honduras departure at 6AM on the 31st. The B&H salesperson rushed my order and made sure it went out that night. I don't know how he did it as it was nealy 6PM when I got off the phone with him. The next morning at 10AM it was on my doorstep and the following morning I was on my way with camera and housing in hand.
After eight years I finally got a great picture of a Seahorse to boot. Thanx!!!

overall, for the price it is very good housing. Camera zoom control could be better, same applies to the mode control knob.
Although I had no problem operating all the controls.
All seems to operate flawlessly(no stuck keys/controls under pressure) at 110 ft (F4U Corsair wreck in Ohau, HI)
Cons: flash diffuser keeps falling off. I don't understand why the port is so big on this housing. But attaching the diffuser to the port grove does not work.
I worry about the latch on the housing, it feels like it could open up easily under water. But it didn't.
