The highly affordable Benro A-150EXU Digital Tripod Kit is a light-duty aluminum tripod that is not light on features. It will support equipment such as point and shoot cameras, lightweight DSLRs or camcorders weighing up to 4.4 lb (2 kg). This kit includes a Benro ballhead which features a single, one-touch adjustment knob for smooth and accurate pans and tilts. It has a dual-locking quick release system and comes with the PH-07 quick release plate which together allow for the secure and easy placement of your equipment on and off the ballhead.
This tripod is quite versatile. It has leg sections which adjust independently to three different angles, and a two-section center column which can be reversed for attaining low shooting angles. The column can be split for extremely low-level shooting which is great for shooting nature and macro photography plus a wide variety of other subjects requiring unique camera positioning. With an all-weather foam grip and rubber feet with retractable spikes, this tripod can be used inside or outdoors. It folds down to a mere 20.4" (51.8cm) and weighs only 2.2 lb (1 kg), making it easy to take with you while on vacation or location.

The purchase of this tripod made me realize why B&H is so awesome! Identified through the rating and helpful reviews here on B&H, I purchased this tripod with some hesitation (I usually like the touch and feel equipment prior to purchase). Boy was I surprised when this product arrived in the mail!
Sturdy, reliable, and compact, this tripod is a great value! Purchasing a similar quality product at your local camera store will run you around $200 (trust me I tested this out). The tripod comes with a stylish case and easily fits in carryon luggage or in a backpack.
This product is an amateurs tripod dream. I highly recommend getting it if you are new to photography (tripods help you get closer to that 'tack sharp' photo we are all after) or if you want a lightweight travelling tripod.

Very light in weight. However it is a little flimsy. Ok for small cameras but I would not trust this tripod with my 30D or 50D. The telescoping legs and center post do no slide easily. They have a tendency to stick. The built in level indicator is pretty much useless. You can't see it with the camera attached.

Never thought I would get something this good for the price. I put a Cannon TI2 on it and it works great. The Ballhead is very good. Used this on a floating dock in the wind to get some sail boats. It held the cannon with a 200mm telephoto lens with no problem. The only problem is the small release handle for the Ballhead.

Comments about Benro A-150EXU Digital Tripod Kit with Ballhead and Quick Release Plate:
This tripod has met our expectations from the product description in the online catalog. It is perfect for a point and shoot camera and maybe a light DSLR. The price and size of the tripod should fit in anyone's budget. Great for backpacking if you were not going to take a tripod along; this one would be hard to leave at home. If the ballhead was a little bit stronger it would have exceeded my expectation and gotten 5 stars.

I was looking for an inexpensive tripod that was quick and easy to use for both studio and field use. I was slightly skeptical on this one as it was fairy cheap - but I really was surprised with how well built this was. All aluminum tubing and head.

They say it hold 2 Kg camera. It does.... but only holds them... very unstable... you can use it only with the daylight even with 1 Kg cam. On the other hand, even if it is not an expensive tripod... for those money it should come with a bag... well... it doesn't. I've seen tripods much cheaper that comes with a bag... Perhaps you can find something better for those money...

Comments about Benro A-150EXU Digital Tripod Kit with Ballhead and Quick Release Plate:
This tripod is a really good one. Stabil and it can use in a very low position, but the highest position is almost 180 cm high. I like using it especially for macro photos - the tripod is very stabil in this law position also. It can assessed my D90 with battery grip without any displacement. So this is a good one for this price, I can recommend it to everybody.

Comments about Benro A-150EXU Digital Tripod Kit with Ballhead and Quick Release Plate:
I purchased this product for my Canon 60D with a generic zoom lens that came with the kit. The QR plate did come off from the head because the latch was screwed on too tightly. Mind you, it is a "quick release plate" so it is supposed to come off. I tried to loosen the screw myself in vain, so I had to return my purchase. Must have been a quality control issue.

Great value for the price. It was a little more light duty than I expected. It will handle my EOS 5D MII with the kit lens OK, though, and will fit in a carry on bag for travel.

I was looking for a combination of features in a tripod, ball head, light weight, compact yet tall when fully expanded and, oh yeah, cheap. This tripod had good reviews and is a joy to use.

I dont have a great deal of experience with camera equipment especially tripods, and when shopping around I wanted something not too expensive but sturdy that I could trust my Rebel t2i sitting on. This does a great job, the only thing is im going to get another head to make it easier to use when using the camera in video mode.

I bought this tripod as a graduation present for my fiancée and she loves it. It's light, taller than most tripods in the same price category, and although as another reviewer mentioned it doesn't have a tilt handle, you can get by without it just fine.

I'm using tripod with my d90 camera and so far I have no problems with it. It has solid construction and easy setup. My camera and lens kit is lightweight (less than 4 lbs) so I don't know how it performs with heavier lenses.

Comments about Benro A-150EXU Digital Tripod Kit with Ballhead and Quick Release Plate:
I love this tripod, and it works great for me. I already had one that had all these knobs for adjusting the camera, plus a screw to attach my camera to the top. The ball head on the A-150EXU is so easy to use, with only ONE knob to adjust. And the quick-release is a dream come true! It's pretty lightweight... the only improvement I would make is including a carrying case.
