In addition to the Manfrotto 190XDB Tripod Legs, this kit includes a Manfrotto 494 Mini Ball Head with an RC2 QR Plate. The plate allows you to easily remove or replace your equipment from or to the ball head.

Tripod: 5 stars. Everything I want in a small, light, no frills tripod. I have larger, heavier, more feature laden tripods that are a pain to lug around. This one is a sturdy platform for my DSLR when I need to be mobile.
Ball head: 3 stars. The base of the head is smaller than the mounting plate on the tripod, and it sits between the set screws on the tripod base, so the set screws don't set anything in this particular combo. Also, the lock lever can get impeded by the quick release when flipped for portraits. Despite the lack of set screws, it grips the base securely enough that releasing the lock and tension allows the head to pivot on its own base, rather than on the center column plate, which is great, and, as expected of Manfrotto heads, the quick release is intuitive, secure, and easy.
