The Beyerdynamic DT790.28 Headset with 4-Pin XLR Female Connector features a closed headset with a hypercardioid dynamic microphone that provides good isolation from ambient noise and is suitable for intercom purposes in loud environments like concerts, sporting events etc., where isolation of ambient noise, durability, and wearing comfort are of prime importance.

The DT790.28 Headset is the apt combination of the closed studio reference headphone DT 770 M, the high-quality microphone of the DT 290 and a pivoting, gooseneck microphone boom. The powerful headphone system with a frequency response of 5 to 30,000 Hz provides a suitably balanced sound characteristic. The sound insulating housing and softskin ear pads cause high isolation from ambient noise and the pivoting gooseneck microphone boom ensures that the dynamic microphone can always be optimally adjusted into any required position. The headband can be set to each head size via the adjustable yokes. The pivoting microphone boom can be used at the left or right side or can be moved into standby (upper) position. The dynamic microphone with a hypercardioid polar pattern ensures an extremely high gain-before-feedback and noise cancellation. Both cables, in the headband and in the gooseneck microphone boom are covered to avoid damage during usage. The single-sided, fixed cable is available with different connectors, which allow all the necessary connections.

It is recommended to position the microphone to the side of the mouth at a distance of about 20 to 30 mm forward for keeping it within the direct sound path, but out of breath stream and thereby minimize any pop sounds.
