Comments about Chimera TL Lightbank Kit W/O Grid (1000W/120V):
Chimera is well-known for its flattering Lightbanks (soft boxes). I use their 1,000 watt TRILOETS to KEY LIGHT TALENT with 3,200K light for HD VIDEO shoots in front of GREEN SCREENS.
Conversely, I light my 16x9 format green screens in the background with very bright 5,500K (Daylight) using a pair of vertical 6-tube T5HO fluorescent tube fixtures set at 45 degree angles.
We COLOR BALANCE our talent's flesh tones IN POST and the yellowish light from the Chimera Triolets can be "tweaked" to make the talent "dramatically punch out" over our keyed-in bluish green screen backgrounds.
Chimera Triolets are exquisitely-engineered professional gear. The collapsible ring feature makes them a no-brainer over rigging/softening heavy Fresnel Spots in tight quarters. Like others, my only complaint is their SHORT POWER CORD.
Comments about Chimera TL Lightbank Kit W/O Grid (1000W/120V):
The kit is nice and easy to setup and use. It is lightweight and a lot more compact than some of the other kits I use. The light is pretty powerful and is a warm color. My only complaint would be that the carrying bag doesn't really offer any protection for the contents. You will need to add a shipping pad, blanket, or some other type of padding to the case so the parts don't destroy each other bouncing around in transit. Other than that, it is a very nice and compact kit.

Comments about Chimera TL Lightbank Kit W/O Grid (1000W/120V):
I wanted a light that could quickly and easily be set up and fit in a small carrying case - this one does that job perfectly.
Actually setting up the light is a little more difficult than a Lowell kit that I've tried, but it still only takes about 3-6 minutes.
Pretty typical, but the power cable is extremely short.
I'd recommend this light to anyone looking for a good tungsten light in the 400-600 price range.
P.S. - I use this light for video.

Comments about Chimera TL Lightbank Kit W/O Grid (1000W/120V):
I have never used this particular rig before but it lives up to what I expect from Chimera. Easy to set up and break down and stores nicely. Could use a seperate hard case for the bulb since it comes in a soft carrying case. Other than that it's a good deal.
