Archival Methods 5 x 7" Pearl White Conservation Mat Board has a warm tone but with no trace of a yellow tint found in an Antique White board. The look and feel of this board is similar to a traditional, cotton pulp mat board. The surface is lustrous and has a rich, professional feel to it.
- Uses alpha-cellulose pulp from purified wood fiber
- More economical to manufacture then cotton paper but has the same stable and long-lasting properties
- Has a long history of being safe to use with paper artwork, photographs and documents
- Uses alkaline or neutral sizing
- Buffered with calcium carbonate for added protection from ambient conditions that often cause the pH of paper to decrease with age
