I've only been using my 27" iMac for a week, but I can already tell it's the best computer I've owned. I've put it through some rather rigorous multitasking tests, including multiple video and audio streams, and it has performed perfectly without a hiccup. As-advertised, it was ridiculously easy to set up. With only one power cord, a wireless keyboard and mouse, and a wireless printer, my desk is cleaner and more clutter-free than ever.I had seen the enormous display in the Apple Store, but I wasn't sure how it would look in real-world situations (the Apple Store is a bit of a fantasy land, methinks). Well my fears were unfounded, as it is the most incredible screen I have ever used. I had no idea what my photographs really looked like until I put them up on this gargantuan display. I purchased the 3.2 Intel i3 processor, and so far I haven't regretted that decision at all. I haven't done a ton of video editing, so it may come back to bite me there, but so far I've been able to run multiple high-performance programs at a time with little to no lag.[...]

Comments about Apple 27" iMac Desktop Computer:
Runs great so far. [...] best pricing to boot. Thanks! My only gripe is not with the Mac but the fact that I can not get the Epson print driver to work properly. It seems that many others have had the same issue as well. Not sure if it is the fault of Apple OS 10.6 or Epson or a little of both. Needless to say it is very frustrating.I purchased this Mac to replace my Powerbook laptop and the speed and functionality of the iMac is incredible. I now run Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 2 with ease and efficiency. Now if only I could print...... I'd give it a 5 star rating if the print driver wasn't an issue.

Comments about Apple 27" iMac Desktop Computer:
It is awesome, screen is big and work really well to edit photos on. I think is worth extra money for the bigger screen over the 21 in. one. I have a macbook and wanted a desktop one. The color is good on the screen and I like the fact that is all just one unit. It start up and shut down fast.

Comments about Apple 27" iMac Desktop Computer:
I use this for business and personal use - my G4 crashed (after 6 years of using it everyday, pretty good!) Luckily I had backed everything up to the TIME CAPSULE - it took all of an hour to transfer all the files. ONE note - several software items were not supposed to be able to run on the 10.6 word to the wise - double check! Photoshop C4 is running great, and they had told me I would have to upgrade. so far so good!
- Its frozen up a few times in the 2011 quickbooks program and a few bumps reconfiguring the time capsule for airport and the new computer, otherise I am thrilled with the speed with which it operates!

I'm so glad I switched over to a Mac. I do a lot of photography, and when I loaded my first image, it brought tears to my eyes. Like WOW!! I'm still learning my way around after 20+ years on a PC, but it's been pretty easy to figure out. Can't go wrong with this one. I also love how quiet it is, my old PC just roared, I can't even tell this Mac is running.

This computer was bought for a Senior Center project for interviewing elderly people who want to tell their story and have it on a professional quality DVD.
The 27" iMac is perfect for processing the output from the camera. It comes with iMovie and iDVD. Making a DVD is a snap.
I am a member of the Center and am the volunteer technical advisor for the Video product and have this computer at home. I thoroughly tested the intended use for the Senior Center and had no qualms having them buy their own.

Being a new Apple user it has not exactly been a "hit the ground running" experience, but so far so good, One exception, purchased Office for Mac, Student and Home edition and had problems with spell checking. Several files needed to be moved around the directory before getting it to work, with the help of Microsoft help desk. Very helpful!

This is my second one purchased from B&H, loved the first one so much that we had to get another so my wife and I have our own. I use mine primarily for editing photo's in LightRoom and Photoshop and love the power of being able to have multiple memory intensive programs open and running smooth as glass.
You can not go wrong with this beast, it's beautiful and performs above an beyond my expectations.

Comments about Apple 27" iMac Desktop Computer:
After having switched to Mac about a year ago, this is my second Apple computer and I love it. Don't let PC reviews fool you into thinking that Macs are slower because Apple tends to have less processor power for the buck. This thing is blazingly fast and beautiful. If you're into playing around with components, this is not the right gadget for you, but if you are looking for an easy-to-use, fast and reliable computer, get a Mac!
