The Analog Way EKS500 Multi-layer Seamless Switcher is a high-resolution mixer and matrix (12 x 2) switcher with 4 scalers and is suitable for high-end AV presentations. In addition to DVI-D, universal analog, and SD/HD-SDI inputs, it supports SDTV, EDTV, HDTV, and computer formats up to 2K. It is equipped with analog and digital outputs (main and preview) and offers RGBHV, DVI, SD/HD-TV analog, and SD/HD-SDI outputs.
Operation can be set to Mixer, Native Matrix, or Quadravision modes in the EKS500 switcher. In mixer mode, the switcher offers effects between each layer, whereas the matrix mode offers 1 PIP in the mirror mode or 2 PIPs on frame, and 4 sources can be displayed on the main output using the Quadravision mode. Live layers can be customized using attributes such as borders, movements, zoom, or transparency. Along with features such as mosaic preview, dynamic fit, and mirror effects, the EKS500 seamless switcher offers high-resolution digital processing with adjustments for chrominance, luminance and DSK (Downstream keying).
The EKS500's large graphic VFD screen with control knobs and buttons offers easy and fast access to menus and adjustments. The multi-layer seamless switcher also comes with features such as animated logo, frame store, smooth move effect, memory presets, internal test patterns, audio breakaway, and audio delay compensation.
