The On Stage 400P Loudspeaker Dock from JBL is a complete sound system for your Apple products; particularly your iPod and iPhone. It is compatible with docking versions of the iPod, including the iPod touch, iPod nano G3 and the iPhone. A stereo mini jack connection also allows you to enjoy high-quality audio from a variety of other devices such as MP3 and CD players, desktop computers (all platforms), satellite radio, and laptops.

We love our On Stage IV Dock for our iPhones! My husband has the 3GS and I have the 4; the dock handles both styles beautifully. The speakers have terrific sound and plenty of volume. It is super compact; travels well in our motorcycles; great to have music around the campfires (operated with batteries); or good to have music in the study which is on a different floor in our home from our main stereo system. We have already recommended the On Stage IV Dock to our friends and family. Thanks B&H and JBL for a super quality product.

I bought it as a gift to my friend and the great thing about this product is that most of people find this gadget pretty cool, but won't buy it for themselves. So it makes it a great gift - not very expencieve. The friend of mine was happy.

This is a good choice if you don't wish to spend too much money on the more expensive options. You get good sound quality, though it slightly deteriorates in higher volume.
Down side is: max volume doesn't seem to be enough for larger or outdoor spaces.
