This Ikelite 6270.02 Ultra Compact Housing is designed for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2 and DMC-FT2 digital cameras. It is an injection molded clear polycarbonate case, known for its strength and corrosion-free properties. The housing offers an unobstructed view of the camera's information and control functions and operates safely to a depth of 200'. Easy open latch along with drop in camera loading makes set-up a breeze. The housing is sized and weighted for near neutral buoyancy and superb handling underwater.
An external wide-angle conversion lens increases angle of coverage so you can get much closer to your subject while still fitting everything in the frame. By reducing the amount of water between the subject and your camera lens, the resulting image will be more crisp and colorful. Attach 67mm threaded Ikelite W-20, Inon Type II, and Epoque lenses using the #9306.78 port adapter. This adapter may also be used to attach 67mm threaded macro lens.
A flash diffuser is included to improve lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used underwater. For optimum lighting underwater an optional external strobe is recommended. Ikelite strobes are brighter, recycle faster and offer wider coverage than the camera's flash. Being farther from the camera lens, the strobe reduces the illumination of particles in the water which helps eliminate backscatter.

Comments about Ikelite 6270.02 Ultra Compact Housing for Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2 & DMC-FT2:
I only tested this on land comparing it to the Panasonic DMW-MCFT2 housing. I found the buttons hard to press, especially the top 3 (movie, EV control, playback) since they were the same height. While the shutter release is nice, you have to remember to return the zoom lever back to neutral. The bottom of the housing has two holes for easy use of flash arm trays. As is, the port partially blocks the internal flash causing the left side of the picture to be darker. I was unable to attach the diffuser for fear of breaking it. Thus I don't know if the diffuser would eliminate the shadow (I'm guessing it would).

Comments about Ikelite 6270.02 Ultra Compact Housing for Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2 & DMC-FT2:
Whether it's just my combination of the camera and a specific case or a more widespread problem I don't know. However here's what I learned during my battle to get this working:o At least 30% of the buttons don't work underwater or seem to line up.o The poor placement of the Video button required the manufacturer to insert a plastic piece in an attempt to cover the button so that it works. Even when carefully aligning this before closing the case, the button moved during use rendering the video button non-functional. On a test dive, I got 1 video, then it stopped working.o Ditto for the rotating knob and a couple of the other buttons. Others worked OK. Some that worked in shallow water did not work at depth.o The top buttons are non obvious and do not match those on the camera, so you need to learn new mechanisms to zoom, take a still shot. This is confusing unless you use the case a lot.o The holes on the bottom are not compatible with anything other than other Ikelite lights, not even tripods.o The filter attachment covers up the LED illumination light[...] I've ordered the Panasonic case and hopefully that will work better. If you get one, try it out ASAP and decide for yourself before the return policy expires.
