The Pegasus 2 Infrared Beacon from Morovision is a durable cost-effective signal beacon intended for individual combat marking and distress signaling. It is commonly used in the field for marking vehicles, drop zones, and perimeters. This IR beacon provides 240x360 degree coverage in a durable yet energy-efficient 3 LED lighting configuration. Simply activate the beacon by attaching a 9-Volt battery, then use for a wide range of military, law enforcement, and civilian activities.
The Pegasus was designed to update the widely-used Phoenix series beacons. Since introduction in 1984, the Phoenix Jr. is among the most popular electronic combat ID systems in use by US and Allied Forces. The Pegasus features many of the same specs and features, including three selectable flash signatures for operators. In addition to a fixed signature that is identical to the Phoenix, the Pegasus also includes an SOS signature for emergencies and a user-defined signature that allows users to program a unique flash duration and repeat cycle.

The Pegasus beacon series in an updated version of the popular Phoenix series, utilized by US Armed Forces in the field for over two decades. The Phoenix Jr. has seen action in multiple theatres of operation and was useful in combat for marking personnel, vehicles, pathways, and drop zones.
Selectable Flash Signatures
Distinguish you from other operatives or unfriendlies in the field by encoding a unique flash rate and repeat cycle via the two programming pins. The unique flash signature will be stored in the Pegasus 2 memory even if the battery is removed. A fixed flash signature and an SOS distress signature are pre-programmed into the beacon's permanent memory, giving operators three options for signal identification.
Use the Poseidon Mounting Clip to create a water tight casing for the Pegasus 2 and battery assembly. Without the Poseidon case, the beacon will continue to operate in water until the battery contacts fail from electrolytic corrosion.
