The JLCooper Eclipse CX Midnight is an 8-channel integrated colorist command station that integrates a midnight (black) finish, white LEDs, and indicators to minimize color emissions and strain on the operator’s eyes.
You are provided with an efficient tactile control surface along with conveniently located controls that facilitates efficient collaboration with video color correction and editing software. Integrated into the system is a complete array of controls that include 3 transparent, backlit trackball mechanisms that incorporate free-spinning control rings. Accurate control is offered via a molded ring surface.
Rapid access to color parameters is facilitated via 6 high-resolution rotary encoders and 5 detented rotary encoders. Reset buttons are provided adjoining the 6 rotary encoders that allow you to return the parameters to default settings. You are also provided with 41 illuminated function keys, 7 edit keys, 3 VF displays, blue LED timecode display, professional transport buttons with status indicators, and an optically encoded jog/wheel with concentric shuttle ring.
You can connect the command station to other auxiliary devices via 2 interface card slots that support 10/100 Ethernet, USB, RS-422, or RS-232 cards. Inheriting components from the JLCooper MCS-3000 series, the Eclipse CX Midnight exhibits wide compatibility with software such as IFX (Piranha Cinema HD), IRIDAS (Speedgrade), and Apple Color.
Expansion support allows you to interface a separate Eclipse Bridge Controller/Expander, thus providing 4 additional banks of VF displays, 3 high-resolution push-button rotary encoders per bank (with reset buttons), and 8 global function keys. The Eclipse CX Midnight command station weighs 14 lb and measures 25.75 x 11.5 x 2.75".
