The Tamron Mini-Dome Camera incorporates an original Tamron 12x zoom lens with a 3.8-45.6mm focal length and one-touch auto focusing (AF). Aside from its high picture quality, this camera offers a number of features to aid in the installation process. Unlike many dome cameras that lose sharpness when the dome cover is put back into place, this camera features a 30 second delay from when the focus button is pressed to when focusing is actually activated. This will give an installer enough time to replace the dome cover, so when the camera activates focusing it will do so through the dome cover and that way achieve a more accurate focus.

Another feature beneficial to the installer is a rotation mechanism which has markings to help the installer accurately position the camera so that the picture is correctly aligned on the monitor. This is in addition to the camera's hinged mount which will allow accurate camera pointing on a 3-axis plane. There is also a local monitor output on the camera so that the results of any changes made to the camera or lens can be instantly viewed on a handheld test monitor.

The camera uses a 1/4" CCD with 540 lines of resolution to deliver clear and bright images of the surveillance area. A Day/Night function auto switches the camera from color to B/W mode when light levels drop. Along with a number of other manual and auto picture controls this will ensure a high degree of image visibility in a variety of lighting scenarios. There is also a privacy function to block out sections of the image for privacy or legal reasons.

This camera is built to the IP66 standards and offers good protection from weather and vandalism. The included wall bracket allows camera mounting on a wall with the bubble facing down.

High Resolution
Equipped with a 1/4" 380K CCD, the new mini-dome camera realizes 540 TV lines horizontal resolution. In addition, advanced optical designs provide high resolution performance and Tamron's unique multiple-layer coatings minimize ghosting and flare.
Speedy Installation
The numerous design features that make installation a snap truly make this high res and optically powerful mini-dome camera stand out from the crowd. Tamron engineers paid particular attention to details both big and small that would make the term "speedy installation" synonymous with the Tamron DCV12 mini-dome camera.

Setting the angle of view is quick and user-friendly. A manual triple-axis adjustment (or right to left), tilting (+/- 80° up or down/+/- 70° when set at wide angle) and rotation (+/- 360°) to ensure your ability to set the optimum angle of view.

Tamron's AF Install Mode is designed to perform continuous auto focusing for 30 seconds after dome cover installation so that defocusing after installation can be prevented. Installation is completed in just three easy steps.
Attention to Detail
Several other design features on the new Tamron mini-dome camera offer ultimate installation ease. These include a rotation mechanism which has a grip for ease-of-use and smooth operation. Markings on the rotating portion of the grip indicate the correct screen position, allowing you to precisely set horizontal alignment on the monitor.

A monitor output terminal is provided near the operating button so the camera can be connected to a monitor via the conversion cable supplied as a standard accessory. This simplifies confirming a desired angle of view at the installation site.

Compared to other makes, the Tamron DCV12 provides quicker mounting of the dome cover since it features just three screw holes instead of four.

A handy rubber strap is attached between the dome and the dome cover to prevent the cover from falling during installation.
Outdoor Ready
The Tamron mini-dome is ideal for outdoor installation. Its vandal-resistant design and IP66 watertight/dustproof design protects the camera. Around-the-clock surveillance is ensured as the camera and lens both support day/night functions.
