Dotworkz D3 COOLDOME Camera Enclosure

The Dotworkz D3 COOLDOME Camera Enclosure has a built-in thermo-electric cooling system and can be used in hot climates where temperatures exceed 105°F (41°C) and reach as high as 155°F (68°C). The solid state cooling system switches on and off automatically and can keep internal temperatures as much as 45°F (25°C) lower than the outside environment.

Also built into the housing are a number of high flow fans that generate an airflow inside the housing without exchanging air from the outside. This keeps humidity from entering the housing and potentially corroding housing and camera components and fogging up the dome. In addition to keeping things cool inside the dome, this housing is IP66 rated against outside air, dust, water and salt water ingress, and features IP68 waterproof connection ports.

The key advantage this D3 model has over the D2 version, besides being a larger unit, is that it includes the Steady Step camera mount. Steady Step allows the camera to be raised and lowered without requiring special tools and without the risk of dropping the camera. Steady Step is adjustable to fit all sizes of HD PTZ cameras including the latest tall ones. Because of its rock solid stability Steady Step also eliminates any vibrations inside the housing.

This housing is compatible with most analog or IP PTZ dome cameras and has extra room to accommodate peripherals such as encoders, hard drives, routers, etc. The lower dome is impact resistant and at the same time is optically clear to ensure maximum image sharpness.
