It gets 4 stars because of the 5 cameras i bought, one of them was missing the camera "lens". obviously an error in manufacturing, but that seems to be a common thing if you read the reviews about other dummy cameras. This camera looks more "real" than some of the others, in my opinion, & i've looked at 2 different dome models up close. i don't use the blinking red LED, because real cameras don't have those, but ALL fake cameras do. the LED is not motion activated, but the flashing is switchable ON or OFF. the only other trouble i had was in mounting. they use 2 simple screws (provided), but the camera isn't adjustable, so you have to make sure to mount it in the exact direction you want the camera to point, which is a little tricky but not impossible. overall, a good camera for the money.

I installed one on my backyard and another on my front porch. This looks identical to my other other real Lorex security cameras and can be installed outdoors. Ideal installation is ceiling- mount as the camera features twist lock installation. The blinking red light is very visible at night. I wish it had light sensor to turn on the red LED only when it's dark, but I guess that would make the product less affordable. Highly recommended.
