- Tecnologia Parallax Barrier
- A Parallax Barrier funciona ao exibir duas imagens separadas sobrepostas. Um obstáculo é colocado em cima da tela LCD que evita que certos pixels alcancem os olhos. O resultado é uma imagem completamente separada sendo enviada para cada olho do usuário. Parecido com sua visão diária, seu cérebro recebe dois campos de visão separados, um do olho direito e outro do esquerdo. Ao calcular as diferenças entre os ângulos de inclinação recebidos de duas imagens, o cérebro calcula e percebe a profundidade. Ao gravar simultaneamente um canal de vídeo direito e um esquerdo e depois utilizar a exibição Parallax Barrier para enviar as respectivas alimentações de vídeo para cada olho separadamente, nós emulamos o que o cérebro percebe naturalmente e assim você pode ver vídeos com profundidade 3D.

So I've seen this frame get some bad reviews online, but I get a feeling people forget the price they paid for the item, which is pretty affordable for what this little screen does.
Sure it does not deliver the most perfect of 3D images; parallax barrier is in its beginnings and with larger screens it's a little hard to get the 3D illusion without any "ghosting" (image doubling)... but you can get this down to only 5% ghosting just by placing yourself in a good viewing angle.
It's a great little tool to have with you on the road if you film your own 3D content: In fact it works very well with the Apitek i2 3D camcorder... just shove a MicroSD with content shot on the i2 into the 3D picture frame and voila! Right away you're checking out your 3D content.
Perfect? No. Useful and cool? Indeed.

If you have an Aiptek camera then this is the product for you. You can display your photo and videos from the camera. You must be in just the right place to see the image but if you are it looks and sounds great.
If like me you have photos and videos that were not shot with an Aiptek camera it comes with a disk that allows you to convert those video into something this Photo frame can handle. It so far seems to work great. I am happy with mine!

Unfortunately an almost hit is still a miss and this display doesn't quite make the hit list. For starters the display resolution is too low to make a adequate 3D display and the built-in 3D conversion becomes annoying quickly because it not only doesn't work well, it can't be turned off either. Even if I didn't use the 3D feature I think it would make a great 2D display if you could turn the 3D function off. As it is I would not recommend this display to anyone. It just isn't quite there yet.

Converted some 3D pictures I took some years ago. And came out great. On the video side, I had to upgrade firmware, as no 3D movie worked out of the box. I converted one of my favorite movies in 3D (legend of guardians) and the result was just amazing. Some object even came out of the frame (if close enough). The only problem resides in the fact that you have to be right in front of it and you must not move, otherwise you lose the effect. Cheaper than a 3D TV and no glasses required.
