Panasonic's TY-EW3D10MK1 3D Active Shutter Eyewear Essential Combo Pack is the gateway to a dazzling entertainment experience. Impressive both in how they function and in what they allow you to experience. When you put them on and look at the screen, the technology first blocks the left and then the right lens. It happens faster than the blink of an eye - so your eye won't notice it. But when images are shown to each eye separately this "staggered" effect achieves far more lifelike 3D images. Two pair of these were included with my purchase of a Panasonic TC-P50VT25.
Unless you must use this style of 3D eyewear because you wear corrective lenses, opt for a wrap around style. The light coming through the lenses alone lights up your face and produces a reflection glare on the back of the lenses (increasingly annoying toward the outsides). Also, no openings on the sides would be preferred.
In a dark room the glare is very distracting. In a bright room, the light entering the sides, and the glare, is distracting.
Of the two nose pieces, neither is comfortable for me, but I may have a defective nose.
I am amazed by the technology, but the ergonomics leave a lot to be desired.

The quality of the 3D displayed on my Panasonic
VT25 Plasma TV is great. We watched an entire movie (Ice Age) without stopping.
There was no discompfort or fatigue.

The product is as described. I'm not a huge fan of active shutter glasses but I love the move Avatar and bought it mainly for that movie and because I thought it was good value as it was a combo deal with the TV, 3 movies (Avatar is/was a mail-in offer) and the 2 pairs of 3d glasses. I figured at worst I can watch the movies in 2d with the option to watch them in 3d.I was pleasantly surprised by how well the glasses worked.I gave it 4 stars because the glasses did not wrap completely around and I could see outside the glasses **very little** in my periphery vision which is a little distracting. The comfort of the glasses was good and they fit around my prescription glasses with no problem. I have not had the chance to use them that much since they are primarily for my grandparents (and myself when I go over there)so these are my initial reactions when I was setting up the TV and watching Ice Age with them and my mom. I would by them again with no hesitation especially since everyone loved the 3d and the movies.
