The AMT Studio AP40 Preamp converts microphones to low impedance to regulate their voltage and create a specific frequency curve. The curve is necessary on certain models or instruments in order to maintain the most natural sound reproduction in conjunction with the achieving the most amount of gain before feedback in a live application. Featuring a ground lift switch to change from 9v to phantom power.
