The Veracity Outsource Power over Ethernet Injector is a compact, wall-mountable 1-port PoE midspan injector that injects industry-standard IEEE 802.3af POE onto Cat 5 or similar network cabling to power a PoE enabled device (12.95W). It provides remote power to IP cameras, wireless access points, PoE-enabled security lighting, and VoIP telephones. The Outsource Injector can be used with Veracity Outreach LAN/PoE extenders to supply power and data connection up to 2296' (700m).
On detection of a compatible unit, the injector automatically injects electrical power onto the cable. With a sealed, fanless design, the Outsource Injector ensures security as PoE will only be enabled on compatible devices. It includes overload protection features, and supports Gigabit Ethernet and 10/100BASE-T network interface, which enable you to control the camera from a personal computer and monitor live images over a network.
