Canon's PIXMA MP495 Wireless Photo All-in-One Inkjet Printer is an affordable solution for meeting everyday wireless printing and scanning from anywhere in the house. You will also be able to enjoy the convenience of Wi-Fi photo printing with ease from compatible iPhones, iPod Touch and Android devices.
This printer outputs a 4 x 6" borderless photo in about 41 seconds and boasts color print resolutions up to 4800 x 1200 maximum dpi. Canon's patented Hybrid Ink System consists of a pigment black ink cartridge for crisp text and a tri-color dye ink cartridge for beautiful photos up to 8.5 x 11".
Whether you are sending important documents to your lawyer or your favorite photos of the kids for grandma, your job gets easier with the MP495. Originals can be scanned into your computer for quick and easy e-mail attachments. Copies of documents often look different from the original, but with the built-in Auto Document Fix your page is automatically corrected for clear, sharp text. With Auto Photo Fix II your images are automatically evaluated and then image color corrections, red-eye removal, and exposure corrections are applied for images that zing.
Many Canon EOS DSLRs and PowerShot point & shoot cameras are equipped to record HD movies. The problem that may arise is that you can miss capturing a once-in-a-lifetime still image while concentrating on the movie. The printer is great quality for the price. The scanner flap seems a little flimsy though. I find it great that a printer for only $60 came with a scanner. It's perfect for someone who uses it lightly (10 copies a week, printing about like 20 times a week or so). I really don't like the speed though.

I've used this for scanning, printing from my computer--which is set up via wifi--, and copying. All seem simple. I set up the wifi myself even though I'm not as computer savvy as some.
It seems to be fairly easy to use though I haven't tried it on an actual photo as of yet. That's why I gave it only 4 stars.

I don't ask for much: just a printer that I can plug in, and print basic documents. This printer did not disappoint. Printed documents within 20 minutes of opening the box. Not sure, yet, how to print "wireless" from my second computer, but it may be my own shortcoming. At least the printer cable was included so that all I have to do it attach and print.

Print quality is good . Workmanship is excellent . One large problem however .The printer will only print whatever e-mail segment that that appears on the screen initially .It will not print the remaining e-mail unless you highlight the part of the message scrolling the whole message to i'ts conclusion.My old printer ,not a Canon would print the whole message even though it did not appear in the limited space on the first screen . Fully 90 minutes with your tech .people failed to resolve this problem.They gave up ! I am using it by highlighting the entire message before pressing print but it is annoying and surprising for a Canon product . Mind you I would be surprised if you read this at all .

LOVE the speed and the wireless printing!! Print quality is great for an ink printer. I use the scanner everyday and have not had any issues with the scan quality or transferability to other programs. The size is exactly what we were looking and exactly what we were expecting from the description. Not the sleekest paper trays, but it is workable.

This is a nice little printer for the price. It is a little slow especially on start up. I haven't used it yet to print pictures so I can't say as to the quality there. For general printing of things off of the internet like recipes, coupons, etc. or short documents, it is perfect. I was looking for something fairly compact and inexpensive. I feel like I got that in this printer. The wireless feature works well and the whole thing was fairly easy to set up. The only negative would be the speed or lack therof, in this case. However, for me and my usage, it really isn't much of a negative.

This gets five stars if the wireless set-up was just a little easier. Subtract a star for needlessly difficult set-up. The photo and print quality is as good as anything that was available to the consumer just five years ago and I really dig the single paper tray and smaller footprint. The real killer here is the high cost of the ink. I'm wondering if I might have second thoughts about spending $35-40 on ink for a printer I paid [$] for. I might have to get back to you on that. Subtract a star for high ink cost. I recommend it with those reservations and warnings.

It took two calls to Canon Tech Support to get the wireless set up on the printer to work - a week or so later printer and scanner are working well. The print quality is good - also smaller than my last Canon so it fits a shelf I haven't been able to use for a printer before.

I gave this Printer as a Birthday gift to my Nephew. We are close and he keeps me informed on how his printer is doing. I asked him a few days ago and he said it was working great. He wanted me to be sure it had a scaner on the printer. I do Photographer for Wedding, Quince Años and I have 2 Canon printer's I-960 & MP970. Both work great I've had the I-960 for more than 5 years and only had the Ink tank empty once. Use good Canon paper and Canon Ink your in business.
