Comments about Raynox DCR-731 Wide Angle Conversion Lens (0.7x):

Tried to use as a cheap way out of buying a super-wide DSLR zoom. With an 18-xx lens it will vignette substantially until you are about to 23mm, which with the 0.7x, gives you an effective focal length of 16mm. So the true gain in field is about 2mm. There is also substantial image quality deterioration.
Seeing as this was one of the most expensive conversion lenses at B&H I did not expect the results I received. Item has been returned.

Comments about Raynox DCR-731 Wide Angle Conversion Lens (0.7x):

This is a solid lens for the money. I actually use it wiht my DSLR, not video. It suits my needs as an enthusiast without breaking the bank. Consider buying a metal step-down ring appropriate to your lens filter thread spec. The adapter rings supplied will work, but they are plastic and will likely not last; 37, 43, and 55mm are included. I needed a 58. I purchased the General Brand 58-52mm STEP-DOWN RING - GBSDR5852 and it's perfect.

Comments about Raynox DCR-731 Wide Angle Conversion Lens (0.7x):

The lens is used on a Sony HD-RX 550V that is housed in an Ikelite underwater housing.
The lens is exactly what I need to get a close focus effect with a good
        wide lens coverage.
My vedeo have improved 100% since using the lens.

Comments about Raynox DCR-731 Wide Angle Conversion Lens (0.7x):

Used it on my AG-HMC40. Had to cut off some tabs on the included adapter rings. No biggie at all. Used 14 hours straight on full blown Steadicam. Tight locatioons for music video. No problems. Images look great! It's a keeper in my kit.
