Flip Video's MinoHD Video Camera holds up to 1 hour of 1280 x 720p HD video to its 4GB internal flash memory. Designed by the pocket camcorder trendsetters at Flip Video, the MinoHD now features image stabilization, which helps protect your videos against unwanted hand shake and motion. Other features include uncomplicated operation, a 2" LCD display, and the trademark flip-out USB arm. Once you've shot your video just connect the arm to your Mac or PC and the pre-loaded FlipShare software swings into action. You can use the FlipShare software edit your videos, pull stills from video, and share almost instantly on social media sites. The camera also features an HDMI output for sharing your footage with friends and family on your HDTV.

Great camera for quick, close in video shorts. In other words, this is a great point and shoot HD camera for web delivered short videos where portability and ease of use outweigh the need for zooming or external microphones. In well-lit, quiet rooms you'll be surprised at the quality for video and audio. The image stabilization just eliminated the last reason for not having one of these in your must-have collection of video resources.

i know this is a low/affordable price for a "HD" video camera, so I shouldn't have expected much. The lens did not have close enough wide angle to film my baby that was sitting close to me, instead i had to scoot backwards about 2-3 yards away from my baby to get her entire self in the footage. i wanted to be able to be closer to her when filming. also, in low light situations, the quality is extremely poor/dark/grainy. it was fun and easy to use and convenient to carry around, but overall was not satisfied when i downloaded my videos on my computer to see them on a bigger screen. but then again,with such a low price- you get what you pay for. i guess i need to spend more money to get a better HD video camera to capture my baby/daughter's growth.

Purchased this for my wife for Christmas so she would stop bugging me to take video with my Canon Rebel SLR camera. I also wanted a video camera that works well with both the Mac and PC. It does not offer much on the zoom; it only has minimal digital zoom. I first looked at other inexpensive, compact HD cameras that had optical zoom but couldn't find one that worked for Mac and PC. For the price, you cannot beat the Flip. It's small and easy to carry in pocket or purse. Everything you need is encased in the one little camera. Just flip out the USB plug and you are ready to transfer files or charge it on anyone's Mac or PC. Also comes with nice utility software that installs from the camera. After half an hour with this camera, I had taken some videos and used the software to trim and combine several videos into one video (which even included a title and a trailer).
I would have preferred if you could swap out your own SD card. If you are buying a Flip, make sure get 3rd generation like this one so you get image stabilization. We have a ton of pictures of our children and pets right now and not much video. I expect to start getting lots of family videos with this camera.

I bought this for my 14 year old daughter. She wanted a really simple, easy to edit with little cam corder.
As a professional cameraman, using big expensive cameras, I actually find this little gem annoyingly good.
It's very easy to use, is constructed well, and the interface with the computers is intuitive. You can literally pick it up and start using it without reading anything.
While it would be nice if it focused closer, had a mechanical zoom, and had a removable memory card, it is the absence of these features that keep it simple and affordable.

Quick and easy to use. I had bought a 2nd generation and then returned it for this model for the image stabilization feature which was a great upgrade. Low light performance still isn't great but good enough for what we use it for.
