This 2010 version of the Flip Video UltraHD Video Camera features a 4GB internal memory that can hold up to 1 hour of 1280 x 720p high def video. Simple as always, the UltraHD has an ultra easy-to-use interface - just press the big red button and begin recording! When you're ready to share your files the signature flip-out USB arm connects to your PC or Mac for transfer of video. Upon connection the pre-loaded FlipShare software starts up, allowing for any number of actions including editing, video greeting cards, upload to social media sites, and still capture from video - among other choices. You can also choose to share your videos on an HDTV using the HDMI mini connection and an optional HDMI cable. When it comes time for more power, just insert two 'AA' batteries and you're good to go, again. You can also use the optional Flip Video Rechargeable Battery Pack as an eco-friendly alternative.

I purchased 3 Flip cameras for our middle school media center and they have been great! Students love to use them and they are EASY to use! Just plug them into the USB port on the computer and you have a video! They are also inexpensive enough that I don't worry about letting students use them.

This product is used for corporate marketing as well as training and fun. Love how easy it is. It turns on/off fast and has a great picture.
Only cons are that the screen is pretty squished and the image stabilization isn't the best, but that's expected.

This is a good cam. My daughter got this one as well as a Sony Bloggie and we had to return one of them. As far as I can tell from the cams themselves and reviews, they each have their strengths. The Sony shooots at 1080 while this is only 720. The Flip does better in poor light but there may be a quality advantage to the Sony in good light. The Sony has to be recharged while the Flip takes regular batteries (a huge bonus.) If you are looking at them both, don't be fooled by the screen size. The Sony only actually uses about half of the screen for the image. What sold my daughter was the lens on the Sony that can be turned around to face the shooter. I can only give this four stars because we just didn't really even use it. It does have a good solid quality feel to it though.
