Hewlett Packard's 2100 Webcam is a super-affordable way to capture and edit pictures or video and to stream video via your favorite IM application. Compatible with most notebook and desktop computers, the 2100 Webcam smoothly streams video at a resolution of 640 x 480 at up to 30 frames-per-second. Moreover, it is compatible with AIM, MSN Messenger, Skype, and Yahoo Messenger and features a built-in microphone, perfect for chatting. Because of its USB 2.0 plug-and-play, you can connect it directly to your computer's USB port and start using it. Beyond video, you have the option of capturing still photographs at an interpolated resolution of 8MP. The top of the webcam features a one-touch snapshot button, so you can instantly take a picture.
Along with the camera, you'll receive both ArcSoft's Webcam Companion 3 and their Magic-i Visual Effects 2 software. Webcam Companion 3 allows you to capture, edit, and share videos online and it also allows you to capture and retouch photographs. ArchSoft's Magic-i Visual Effects 2 software allows you to enhance your online chats with special filters and fun frame-altering effects.
