This bag is gorgeous for my nikon d90. And you can put data line and battery in. The inner bag is good for your iPad. It is best for traveling and casual life. I love it.

Comments about National Geographic NG A2540 Africa Series Midi Satchel (Brown):
I use this bag as an everyday bag. Since my son was born, I want my "good" camera on hand all the time. It's the perfect size for carrying all the time (I have the large Nat Geo shoulder bag that holds my 17" laptop too, and it's a little large for every day).
In the insert I carry a Canon 50D with 28-135mm EF lens attached, the 18-55mm EF-S lens, spare battery, and charger.
In the main compartment I can also carry my 70-300mm EF lens in a lens case (if I need it) and a few personal items and cables. If I'm not carrying the large zoom, there's room for even more stuff. The netbook slip pouch holds my iPad perfectly in landscape position, with no case on the iPad. If I have my thick case on the iPad, then the iPad sits vertically and still fits. The only thing is if the bag is stuffed pretty full, it's a little more work to wiggle the iPad in and out, which is no problem unless you're in a big hurry.
In the front accessory pouch I can carry my phone, a large checkbook size wallet, some pens, camera attachment for the iPad and a few other odds and ends. The outside pockets are handy for my keys and stuff.
The size is good as it fits quite nicely in the bottom of the stroller. It also doesn't scream camera bag. The finish of the materials used on the bag is very nice, and it looks nice and tough. It's the kind of material that will wear well, rather than looking worn out as it gets older.
I love this bag! It's replaced the many bags I purchased in the search for the perfect everyday bag.

Seems very well made so far, tough treated cotton with leather and brass fittings. Love the African pattern interior. Fits my Nikon D90 with an 18-105 zoom and 24mm wide angle along with peripherals ,a couple sketch pads, pens and a water color set nicely. Very good length on the shoulder strap, I'm 6'4" and its certainly long enough. Can be a little slow to open up when everything is zipped up and buckled. But its solid, secure seems like it will last forever and is beautiful in an understated sort of way.
