Comments about Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Fisheye Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens:
The 180° angle of view lets me come really close to the subject, much closer to the range of the strobes. Brilliant images ! I was always worried about taking such expensive lenses under the water but it is worth the risk !

Comments about Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Fisheye Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens:
I really don't understand all the fuss about the lenshood and the cap. Just try to come up with a better design for a lens that's on the wide end covers 180 degrees. I have used a number of fisheyes (Sigma, Pentax, Zeiss/Hasselblad, Zodiak/Arsat) -- this one definitely stands out in the crowd.

Hard to believe how close you can get to the subject and still get it all in. (Try a large tree)
I shoot with a full frame 1D MkII

Comments about Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Fisheye Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens:
I bought this along with my Canon 5D MKII to take full advantage of the full frame sensor. This glass is intesting in a number of ways. You can maintain the f-stop throughout the range, going from ultra-wide angle at 15mm down to full fisheye at 8mm. In addition, I can use the lens on both my 50D and the 5D. With the 50D, there's a locking mechanism on the color to adjust for the APS-C sensor. My only criticism is that the cap and hood could fita little better. Somewhat pricey, but well worth the money given the sharpness and color.

The lens came just in time to take advantage of the spectacular fall colors around the lake at Bear Mountain. I was able to capture unbelievable ranges of color.

Comments about Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Fisheye Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens:
I have not yet used the lens extensivly, but for the about 150 images I have made, I can only say that it has exeeded my expectations.
It is great for close-ups as well as nature photography, and it is very sharp with very good colors.
The zoom possibility is verg nice.
The only less good thing is the lens-cap.
It falls off easily and in general is of a bad design.

Comments about Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Fisheye Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens:
Great lens period. I have been waiting to purchase a fisheye since my Pentax Spotmatic/darkroom days back in highschool and when Canon anounced this lens I knew it would be on order as soon as it was available. It performs exactly as expected and works exceptionally well with my 7D body. The limit switch works great and the lens is tight and fluid when focusing and zooming. Fast focusing and tack sharp at all f/stops. The lens cap and hood could use a little improvement but not bad enought to make the lens any less stellar.

Comments about Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Fisheye Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens:
I am a pictorial and wildlife photograoher but lately have been acquiring shorter lenses to cover my architectural assignments. This lens is small, light, sturdy build, and L glass vintage. It has given me the chance to shoot some creative images on both my 1Dmk 4 and 5D mk2. The results are most satisfying with superb saturation and some pretty interesting views and dof is perferct. Biggest con are angle of view, so watch out for your feet, straps and unwanted object in and around you. The lens cap and petal lens hood are flimsy and I hope canon will redesign it.

Comments about Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Fisheye Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens:
I purchased this lens last week and it arrived just in time for my granddaughter's 1st basketball game of the year. The fisheye allows me to sit in the bleachers and photograph the entire court area, both basketball hoops, in a single shot. Since I do real estate, I've also used this lens to photograph the inside of homes which gives the potential buyer a bird's eye view of the living space and the outside of the home. The lens is far better than I had imagined prior to purchasing from B&H Photo. I would recommend this lens to my friends.

A very unique lens that has a specialized application for some interesting pictures -- moonscapes with long time exposures, incredible cloud formations, pictures that include feet if not careful!

Comments about Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Fisheye Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens:
The main use I have made of this lens is street/architecture photography. I've been very happy with the sharpness and build quality. It's been a nice addition to the 14mm I already owned.
Used on a 5DMkII.
The lens cap/shade is a bit of a pain at times. I just remove the cap and shade every time I use the lens.

Comments about Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Fisheye Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens:
This is my first fisheye lens and I have only played around with this lens over the last few weeks however the picture quality is very sharp. The angle of view is very impressive and has made for some interesting shots of my home. The lens cap is not very secure however understand why that is the case so I am very careful when I pack this lens away to avoid damage. T

Comments about Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Fisheye Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens:
I have been waiting for this lens since I heard about it nearly a year ago. I've only been shooting with it for a couple weeks but I LOVE IT! I shoot with the 7D and love the stop switch at 10mm to get full frame on the crop sensor. I was worried about vignetting from the hood but on my 7D there is none all the way down to 8mm!
I am primarily a landscape photographer but have gotten some great results using this lens to shoot people as well.
