Pelco 8100 Enclosure

The Pelco 8100 enclosure uses pressure derived from dry nitrogen to keep out dust, moisture, pollution, insects, and anything else that may enter and damage internal components. Pressure can be easily applied in the field and is inserted through a Schraeder valve. A purge relief fitting prevents over pressurization of the housing. There is also a built-in heater system to protect the camera from the cold.

This housing is constructed of aluminum, and has an adjustable mounting cradle, sled and track assembly for camera mounting. A T-handle on the rear plate provides easy access to the camera and lens during installation and servicing. Power, video, and lens control cables are routed through an MS-type connector on the rear of the enclosure.

An optional sun shroud is available for installations involving excessive exposure to sunlight. In addition to shielding the camera and housing from sun damage, the sun shroud will reduce internal temperatures by approximately 10-15°F (6-10°C).
