Porta Brace RS-EX1B Sony PMW-EX1R Rain Slicker
The Porta Brace RS-EX1B Mini-DV Rain Slicker (Midnight Black) is custom-fitted to a Sony PMW-EX1 or PMW-EX-1R XDCAM EX SxS Pro HD camcorder. Flaps, vinyl windows and zippered openings provide optimum ease of operation. The slicker works with a tripod or in handheld mode. It is made from 3-ply nylon, Fabuthane fabric with soft tricot-backing that withstands extremes in temperatures and provides excellent rain protection. Roll back flaps to expose 2 vinyl windows. There is a sleeve for hip-shot and handle controls. The top opens to reach handle and attach optional shoulder strap .It has elastic and neoprene gaskets that create tight seals around all openings and it comes with a quick change battery back.

Exceptional quality. A lot of thought gone into design. Multiple sections that can be adjusted. Very tough fabric and construction. I will be buying more of their product.

I have found that these are just OK. It's hard to actually run the camera with the slicker on the camera. Sure, we can use auto-focus...but we still need to zoom. It's hard to get your hand under it and support the camera if you are "shouldering" it. It seems to go on well. It's quick to put on.
