Due to the memory foam this sleeve is actually much more protective than the equivalent models from Case Logic and Incase, etc.
There is an inner lip to protect the edge of the laptop from scratches from the zip, and ensures its centralized in the sleeve.
So I have no worries about putting the MacBook inside a suitcase or backpack when I travel.
There is no provision for the power cord and adapter, but I didn't expect it; not an issue.
I didn't give it 5 stars because of the "feel"; it just doesn't feel luxurious - a bit like cardboard inside a piece of cloth.

I've had this for a few weeks now, and I love it. The material is like memory foam, but it feels strong enough that you would feel comfortable having your Macbook Pro inside it while you travel. I put the MBP in the sleeve, and the sleeve in my bag.
It fits very well for me. I have no issues with the zipper being close to the edge. There is enough room for that, but it's not too roomy that my MBP slides around.

Got it for a 15in macbook pro. Basically - exactly what I was looking for: a slim case that's tougher than those neoprene cases ("incase"?). It's made of memory foam... slim, high density foam that takes a little effort to pinch and then stays pinched for a couple seconds: don't know if it will protect from something dropped on it, but good for knocking around a bit in a bag or on the desk. The Size/Fit is very good, less than 1/4-1/2 inch clearance around the edge. The quality/seams are good, zipper seems to be good.
I was concerned about the ballistic nylon edging inside which seemed like it might be too scratchy, and they could have covered with neoprene or foam or velour or something. In any case my aluminum notebook doesn't seem any worse for the wear so i guess it's fine. And the price is better than those neoprene cases good value
