The Western Digital 320GB WD Caviar Blue SATA 3.5" Hard Drive features ample storage, quiet operation and low power consumption. With a 320GB storage capacity, SATA interface and transfer speeds up to 6 Gb/s, it's ideal for demanding desktop applications that require high performance. The Caviar Blue benefits from ShockGuard technology that protects the drive mechanics from shocks. It also uses NoTouch, which prevents the recording heads from resting on the disk during spin up, spin down, and when the drive is off. This results in a more reliable drive due to the limited head wear. The Caviar Blue is also tested rigorously to ensure compatibility with most systems.

SATA Interface
Ultra-fast 3 Gb/s SATA interface speed yields performance fit for demanding desktop applications
Ample Storage
With a 320GB storage capacity for a 3.5" form factor drive, the WD Caviar Blue offers the highest capacity for space-hungry operating systems with plenty of room left over for photos, music, and video
Instantaneously protects the hard drive against damage from bumps and vibrations while it is running. This technology enables WD Caviar drives to achieve industry-leading shock specifications
NoTouch Ramp Load Technology
NoTouch keeps the recording heads off the disk surface during spin up, spin down, and when the drive is off. This ensures the recording head never touches the disk surface, resulting in improved long term reliability due to less head wear
Cool & Quiet
Keeping the drive cool enhances reliability. WD continues to develop better ways to keep drives cool while they are operating which helps protect the drive and the data stored on it
