The multi-use Vello CB-500 Dual Shoe Bracket will work with most camcorders, as well as with HD-SLRs. It features two cold-shoe attachments and mounts between your camera and tripod via a standard 1/4"-20 thread. This allows you to position your light and other accessories above and to the side of your camera lens. The top and side cold-shoe attachments promote off-axis lighting and also free up the on-camera hot-shoe for microphones, remotes, etc. To ensure comfort and control when used during handheld shooting, the CB-500 even features a rubber side grip that furthers its flexibility and functionality.
Note! When using a flash combined with an HD-SLR, use of a TTL cord is strongly recommended. Using a typical hot shoe flash directly in the bracket might not secure it sufficiently.

Comments about Vello CB-500 Dual Shoe Bracket:
I use the Vello CB-500 to extend the mike. It does the job. I wish it had screws on the cold mounts instead of whatever they are.

Comments about Vello CB-500 Dual Shoe Bracket:
I needed a simple but functional off camera flash bracket that I didn't have to unfold, refold, and/or unscrew to use. This bracket allows me to simply change the flash once the bracket is attached to my camera. Solid feel and good grip.

THIS BRACET SEEMS TO HAVE THE HOLDING PIN IN THE OPPOSITE END OF SLIDING THE SHOEFLASH ON THE HOTSHOE OF THE BRACKET..
