ASUS N61Jq-B2 16" Notebook Computer
The N61Jq-B2 16" Notebook Computer from ASUS is a 16" notebook computer, perfect for day-to-day use. The computer features an enhanced Altec Lansing audio system, powered by ASUS SonicMaster technology. Graphics are handled by a dedicated ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 processor with 1GB of DDR3 VRAM.
The computer features a USB 3.0 port, which is up to ten times faster than USB 2.0. It allows you to use the latest external storage devices that support the USB 3.0 protocol, without having to add an expansion card. A Blu-ray ROM drive is installed, which allows you to watch HD discs on your computer. It can also burn DVDs and CDs.
The system is powered by a 1.73GHz Intel i7-740QM quad-core CPU, which can be clocked at up to 2.93GHz thanks to the Intel Turbo Boost system. It boasts 4GB of RAM, a 500GB 7200rpm hard drive, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a USB 3.0 port, eSATA, HDMI, and an ExpressCard/34 expansion slot. Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) is the installed operating system.

- USB 3.0
- ASUS is the first to introduce the new USB 3.0, capable of providing a bandwidth of about 5Gbps or around 10 times the bandwidth of the current USB 2.0 bus. USB 3.0 is capable of transferring 500MB from a 2.5" HDD in 1 minute 41 seconds, compared to the 3 minutes and 49 seconds of USB 2.0 in the exact same conditions. This allows for faster transfers of high definition data, such as movies and videos, as well as various other large capacity file formats.
