The Ultrasone Edition 10 headphones are a special edition open-back headphone designed to provide premium audio quality and comfort in a stylish and elegant design. Only 2010 units have been made, making the headphones truly limited and collectible. The headphones feature 40mm titanium-plated drivers with powerful neodymium magnets. The drivers have been individually paired to tight tolerances for excellent sonic matching.
The earcups are finished with galvanic Ruthenium plating and Zebrano wood inlay, which is then coated with 4 layers of clear lacquer for protection and shine. The ear cushions and adjustable headband are adorned with reddish-brown Ethiopian sheepskin, which is incredibly supple to provide high levels of comfort and noise isolation. S-Logic Plus technology is built into the headphones to provide a spacious audio experience that emulates live listening. ULE technology with MU-Metal shielding reduces radiation by up to 98% compared to conventional headphones, ideal for those who use headphones for long periods of time.
The headphone wires are made from silver-plated 99.99% oxygen-free copper for increased current flow. The cable is coated with a Kevlar jacket for excellent strength and flexibility. The cable is also balanced input ready, allowing you to easily adapt the 1/4" plug to an XLR connector without replacing the entire cable. The headphones come with a hand-crafted Zebrano wood stand and a wooden storage box. Each of the 2010 Edition 10 units is embossed with its own serial number to ensure authenticity.

These headphones are truly amazing. They reproduce all the small details of the tonal spectrum in a very truthful way, even with a slight "sweetening" add-on: it refers to standing at the very "stereo meeting spot" in-between 2 professional grade speakers, tuned to the mastering room's acoustics very critically. The sound is slightly colored, just like the kind of sound coming to your ears when traveling the air from the actual flat response studio speaker on the way to reaching to your head. I strongly recommend these headphones for audio enthusiasts (audiophiles), as well as I am sure that Every Professional Studio needs them along all the other headphone choices and standards for critical mixing and mastering purposes across all musical styles. Amazing listening tool, hands down-very overpriced, but still wort having it if one can afford...
