Product fits nice and snug on my 70-300mm VR lens. Appears to be durable for its defined purpose. Has a larger grip surface then std. caps, which makes for a better grip.

Two main improvements I have noticed over LF-1 are good price and better seal/tightness. Currently using on AI, AIS, AFD and AFS lenses in addition to BR2A and BR5 mounts.

The new LF-4 is a tighter fit, better seal than the previous generation rear cap. If I should lose anymore of the originals, this is the one they will get replaced with. And the price? No Brainer.

The LF-4 is a huge improvement over the older LF-1 rear cap. It has an improved locking mechanism, that attaches it more securely to the lens as well as to a BF-1A or BF-1B...the LF-1 tends to fall off easily when stored with the BF-1.
