I wanted a compact 2 port usb charger that could also charge an iPad (which requires 2amps!) so this was only one of a few choices.
Thankfully it seems to do the job well and has been charging iDevices just fine using the supplied extra Apple dock cable, while being baked in the Florida sun.
It seems fairly solid so I leave it in the car socket and just unplug the cable when tidying the car or if I don't want obvious things left in full view.
I can only give it 4 stars though because unlike other similar single or lower current adapters this does not sit flush in the car socket. While the pictures have been taken to make it look short it actually sticks out nearly 1 inch from the car socket. I guess this is necessary because of it supplying a total of 3amps at full load.

Solid feel and charges iPhone 4s very quickly. I use other USB port to charge my bluetooth earpiece. Cable is of good construction and should last. Highly recommend!

You'd think a simple device like a car charger would be difficult to mess up, but a surprising number of companies manage to find a way. This one is FLAWLESS, however. The shape fits perfectly in my car whichever plug I want to use. The power indicator light assures me that it's working properly, and it charges quickly. I also love the fact that I can plug my wife's phone in as well when we're both in the car. I wouldn't change anything, including the price.

was able to use in 2010 Honda Pilot no problems with fitting in aux ports, love the dual USB connection,was able to test charging of IPAD 2 And IPhone 4 Also IPhone 3G S and they charged fine but did notice difference when charging with the 2amp vs. 1amp faster charging if using 2amp slot.

The charger is functional, well-designed, and aesthetically pleasing. It's a must-have for the everyday commute and longer road trips, especially if you travel with family. During our last trip, it kept my iPhone going for ten hours (a big plus given how quickly Google Maps can drain the battery), while my wife watched movies and played music on her iPad.
