No complaints on this reader. Have been using SanDisk for the last couple of years that worked great, but it finally died. Was looking for a firewire reader but they seemed to have gone missing from the market right now (2'11). So the next answer was basic, fast, get the job done. This was one of the better priced readers that i could find that still had a recognizable brand name.
It feels a bit cheaply made, but, has a longer cord than my other readers which is actually great (who knew that would be better). Speed is right on the money with other usb 2.0 readers. Offloading 4GB & 8GB CF cards is right on the money speed wise & so far, no issues at all. Does what it's supposed to do for what is a reasonable price. My only suggestion, be careful where and how you place it... the reader is so lightweight that the weight of the cord can easily tug it off your desk.

The single biggest draw back to this is the cable; it's really not long enough. Since it can't plug directly into the computer like some can, and the cable is rather short, if you plan on having this as your primary card reader, plan on getting another, longer, cable to go with it. It's not terrible if you use a mac, but if you use a PC, the cable problems become apparent quickly.

Having several HD video cameras and using 64 and 128GB memory cards the Delkin Universal Card Reader-Pro Edition handles both the SDHC and SDXC cards perfectly without taking up a lot of real estate on my desk. The install on my Mac Pro was seamless with instant recognition by the computer. From the Micro 32GB memory card in my cell phone to the 128GB XC cards in my cameras this little power house does the job.

Comments about Delkin Devices Universal Card Reader - Pro Edition:
This reads SDXC cards. The built-in card reader on my 3-year-old laptop would read SDHC (up to 32 GB) but not the newer SDXC 64 and 128 GB cards. I wish it had a more positive "click" feel to let me know the card was inserted properly, but it works, and at a reasonable price.

It's super fast and great value for its price. Unfortunately, I find that compact flash cards don't fit in easily. I mean they do the job still. Overall, it was a great investment. I have been using them to transfer video from my Canon 7D to a laptop while shooting a music video. I have a 32GB 90MBS Sandisk card and I remember that it took no more than a few minutes.

Comments about Delkin Devices Universal Card Reader - Pro Edition:
I have a somewhat similar-looking reader from another maker but it stopped reading my SD cards. I've only had this reader for about a week but so far I like it. It's not very bulky, is lightweight, and has a long cable which makes it conveniently placed away from my crowded desktop. In the last week or so I have used the reader for compact flash cards, SD cards and my old Sony memory stick pros. The slots where the cards go are marked, which makes figuring out what goes where easier. The downloads to my computer seem a bit faster than with other readers but I have not actually timed them. The price was right for this reader.

I've read a lot of reviews before buying and it was a lot of negative opinions from Mac users. Anyway I've bought it because of it affordable price. I don't have any trouble with this device on my iMac. CF, SD SD micro are working excellent.

Comments about Delkin Devices Universal Card Reader - Pro Edition:
I bought this card reader to use with my CF cards and MacBook Pro. It transfers the files really quickly and without any problems. My only minor inconvenience is that the cable is kind of long and bunches up causing the card reader to not lie flat on the table. But not a big deal.

Comments about Delkin Devices Universal Card Reader - Pro Edition:
I use this reader to transfer HD footage and high res photos from my 7D to my computer and despite being a USB reader, the speeds are surprisingly fast. I use mainly CF and SD cards, but the reader does support many other types. Its also very compact, light, and durable so you can carry it in your pocket without much notice.
One downside to this is that the slot for micro SD cards is such a tight fit, it feels like the card is going to snap in half when you insert or remove it. I'm not a weak person by any means, but a couple times I wondered if I was going to have to get pliers.

I had on and it would no longer accept one of my 16 SD cards. It read the others but would not accept one so I thought I would replace it. I have not installed it yet but the other one worked fine up until last month.

This a sweet usb 2.0 reader. Works great! If you need a fast card reader (usb 3.0, firewire, thunderbolt, whatev) make sure you look at the specks. If you don't need geek-fast this card reader is great. Buy it. I'm shooting 5D, 60D and 7D video at 1920/1080 - no stills - and this card will read them all: CF, SD, whatev! This card reader is the honey-badger: it don't give a ___? What?

I use the Delkin card reader instead of using my camera to transfer data to my laptop. This saves valuable battery time and is less awkward than using the camera as a download device.

I had a previous card reader that quit working, but so far this one hasn't had any problems. I would recommend it. It is great because it has options for basically any type of card you would have, and the price was very reasonable.
