Capture paisagens expansivas automaticamente.
Três sensores cruzados maximizam a precisão.
Teleconversor Zoom Digital Inteligente 2x
O revestimento Antirreflexo (AR) aumenta a visibilidade sob luz direta do sol.
Seis Ajustes Creative Style
Exibição de Índice e Slide Show

As a long-time Canon user, I was set on purchasing either a Canon Rebel T3i or a Canon 60D. However, the more I researched these cameras, the more I heard about the low-light performance of the Sony a580, the Nikon D5100, and the Nikon D7000. The superior low-light performance of the aforementioned DSLRs is due, in part, to the fact that the Canon T3i and 60D pack too many pixels on a slightly smaller APS-C CMOS sensor (the Canons have 18.1 megapixels to the 16.2 megapixels in the Sony and Nikons).

I went to my local camera shop to try out the D5100, a580, and T3i. I did not like the menu system of the Nikon, nor did I like its (considerably) smaller size. I really liked the size of the a580 and T3i, but the image quality of the a580 convinced me to purchase the a580.

Ultimately, the a580 has best-in-class battery life and takes phenomenal photos. Alongside the vast collection of Sony A-Mount lenses, I have been and will continue to be very happy with my purchase.

I bought this camera hoping it would be a decent backup to my A-700 which is in need of repair. I returned it after only 30 exposures the same afternoon that I bought it.

If you're a beginner or casual hobbyist I'm sure you'll find this camera more than satisfactory. If you're coming from the earlier A100 or you've never used the A700's advanced features, again, you'll probably have a great time with this camera. Buy a Zeiss 16-80mm lens and you'd never need anything more.

But anyone else? Prepare to either be mildly disappointed or completely disgusted. I was between those two feelings depending on the features.

First.. some good things. The camera has GREAT color tonal quality compared to models from a couple of years ago. For portraits and family photos, you'd love it. The panorama mode is fun. And the built-in HDR can help you do some fun things.

But if you want to do any advanced HDR work (via post processing) or used some advanced features via bracketed exposures, this camera is NOT for you.

One feature about the A700, for example, is the camera will 'get out of your way'. Toss the camera into Manual mode and you can control anything. And for some of the functionality on the 580 the same thing holds true. On the 700, if you want the RAW photos to do specialized work with them.. you can get them. Bracketed exposures in various modes are available on the 700. On the 580 you get 2 sets. Nothing else. RAW photos are not available in the 580's HDR mode - at all. The HDR mode in the 580 would be PERFECT if you could take the 2, 3 or 6 individual exposures OFF of the camera to play with as you see fit but that's not the case. The HDR mode is little more than a Dynamic Range Optimizer (DRO) feature on steroids. And what you see off the camera is what you get.

Another example where I found frustration.. macro mode on the 580 was OK, but again.. you were forced into certain behaviors and tonal qualities that you couldn't easily override for post processing work.

And video recording? A complete travesty. I couldn't get an image to focus no matter HOW hard I tried. Complete and utter junk. Not worth having the feature on the camera.

So if you're a beginner or coming from an earlier causal-user model (like the A100) you'll love this camera. If you're a semi-professional or an advance user, you might find the camera lacking in areas (as I did).

Comments about Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Digital SLR (Body Only):

A big improvement over my 5 year old DSLR (much faster response, much higher ISO, sharper, added features such as sweep panorama which works great). The A580 is sharper at ISO 12,800 than the old camera was at 3200. It works great for taking sports photos (where a good DSLR is worth the money - especailly at a H.S. where the lighting is poor). Plus, the A580's quick response is great - there's no detectable delay unless the image is very dark. The manual could be a bit better, because you need to know why a certain feature is useful (it tells you how to use the feature; but usually not why you would want to use it) - i.e. a person needs to know a bit about photography to get the most out of the camera. Note: I use it with 2 lens that go from 10mm to 270mm, for a very wide range of photos.

Comments about Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Digital SLR (Body Only):

I used to use the a100. To say the least, it was as basic as you can get with a dslr. The a580 definitely outshines the a100 in every way.
      - The images are clearer and sharper
      - The color is realistic and beautiful
      - The ISO noise is low enough to blow my mind every time I shoot above 800 (which would have ruined a photo with the a100)
      - I love the Focus Check Live View

Unfortunately, if you plan on taking video with it, you may find it lacking. No auto focus while recording. If you are ok with manual focusing in video mode, you will love this camera. I don't mind it, but I love stills more...

I have heard that it's difficult to change settings, but it's not. To say the least, there is a button dedicated to ISO...

      Overall, great camera!!!

Comments about Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Digital SLR (Body Only):

The A580 is simply amazing! I shot for two years with the A350 and thought it was great, but it was terrible above ISO 400 due to noise/grain due to the older CCD image sensor. The A580 has the newly designed CMOS sensor and it's an incredible improvement, well worth the upgrade from earlier models! Shooting at ISO 1600 is quite acceptible, and far less expensive than buying large aperture lenses! There are far too many features to list that puts the WOW factor squarely on the A580. I'm very impressed and I'm sure you well be as well!

I'd be hard pressed to come up with a negative but here's one that's trivial. The reciever for the remote wireless shutter release is on the front of the camera meaning for wide angle shots you almost have to be in the picture. I shoot a lot of MACRO where being behind the camera is essential. I'd love to see Sony include a rear-facing remote reciever.

Short of spending big bucks for a full-frame camera, and lenses, it doesn't get any better than the A580!

Comments about Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Digital SLR (Body Only):

I bought this camera body as a replacement for my Alpha 200K that is still going strong despite approaching 50,000 shots and being held together in places with duct tape. I was delighted that my new Alpha 580 is all the camera that my 200 is and oh so very much more! Within five minutes of opening the box, I was shooting and wondering why it took me so long to get around to buying this camera. I love the tilt LCD screen, the sweep panorama, the on-screen menu prompts, and the intuitive placement of controls. All of my old Minolta and Sony A mount lenses attach and perform beautifully with this new body. The only reason I'm giving this product five stars is because I'm not offered ten!

This camera is awesome! The photos are sharp and crystal clear, settings are easy to change, and and the HD video is superb (video is manual focus only, which doesn't bother me and it does drain the battery quite fast). Even in low light this camera takes fantasic photos, and has little grain at higher ISO's. The live view and tilt-able screen makes it easy to photograph something up high or close to the ground and comes in really handy at times. The in-camera panoramic is pretty neat as well. All in all, the A580 is a fantastic camera, especially for the price.

Comments about Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Digital SLR (Body Only):

The A580 worked perfectly right out of the box. I shoot a lot of moving subjects and it never had any problem focusing even when I was moving the camera. Images are bright and sharp even when using telephoto lenses in the panoramic setting.I took a photo of a moving train at ISO 3600 and the image was as good as one shot at 200 on my other DSLR. Everyone I showed it to was impressed with the camera. I would recommend it to my friends.

Comments about Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Digital SLR (Body Only):

I upgraded from a nikon d80 to this sony a580. The first thing I noticed was that the viewfinder is quite a bit smaller than the d80. However, it hasn't taken me too long to get used to it, and I don't think it will be too big of an issue. Overall the camera is very easy to use, and the one thing that I looove about it is that when you are going through the shooting menu, it actually brings up a dialogue box describing each shooting option in detail. VERY handy.
The image quality is very good, along with a very bright and clear LCD screen. Video is also good quality with fantastic, rock solid image stabilization.
Now on older cameras like the d80, all of your shooting options were adjusted via the little screen on top of your camera. It was small and didn't take much to power so it was no big deal, and that camera got excellent battery life. On most cameras now your shooting modes and everything are adjusted right on the LCD screen. That big bright beautiful LCD screen. The one that takes a lot of battery to power. So instead of looking on top of your camera, pressing a couple buttons and changing your shooting options, you now have to power on that LCD screen and change your settings from there. This definitely has a noticeable affect on my camera's battery life. I would suggest getting a second battery. This shouldn't be a deal breaker on this camera because from what I've seen, most cameras are being made this way now. Just something to keep in mind.
Overall though, I'd say this is a good quality camera, and if you've got some old minolta lenses that you wish you could use again, this one's a good choice!

A couple other random things: The hot shoe on top of the camera is a little different from other cameras I've seen, and doesn't seem as sturdy. This camera does not have any auto focus when shooting in video mode (one thing I overlooked when I decided to buy it). And also it has two memory card slots, which is cool. One for SD, and one for Memory Stick.

Comments about Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Digital SLR (Body Only):

Really pleased with this camera. Had my sights set on the A77 or A65 but delays in availability and an immediate need forced me to go with the 580. While hard to compare against the latest releases, this camera felt good in my hands and has produces top quality raw images in a variety of conditions. Only drawback for me was the inability to sync my studio strobes, and the wireless trigger I purchased will only sync up to 160. Will eventually purchase the a77, but this camera will keep its place in my gear bag as a trusty backup.

Comments about Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Digital SLR (Body Only):

Comments about Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Digital SLR (Body Only):

I bought the A580 mainly as a back up to my A700. The A580 is a little bit smaller and lighter than my A700, it's a nice size and most of the Sony DSLRs use the same battery. Has the extra slot for a Memory Stick and shoots up to 7 frames per second. The images are fantastic, including higher ISO images. The focus is fast and accurate. I take potrait, landscape, wildlife, architectural and action photos and I'm more than satisfied with the photos I get from this camera. Some of the new features such as Hand-held Twilight, Auto HDR, Sweep Panorama and video are things that I didn't care about, but have found them quite usefull. There may be cameras that do one thing or another better, but the price is significantly higher. You don't need pro features to get great pictures. You have to weigh out wether those features will help you get the pictures you want. There are features I'd expect in a mid-level camera like 1/8000 shutter speed or tethered shooting, but not at this price. For one great all around package, you can't get a better value than this. I love it!

Comments about Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Digital SLR (Body Only):

I bought an A580 after the shutter on my A700 failed. This was in the middle of flower season and I could not be without a DSLR while my A700 was being repaired. There was a large gap in Sony's DSLR product line between the A580 and A900. I decided against the A900 because of cost, lens compatibility and age of design.

Pros: I like the A580 control layout. I think it is an improvement over the A700. I really like the flip-out LCD display for flower photos close to the ground. This eliminates the need to get my face close to the ground. Manual focusing with the normal "live view" through the LCD works better than I had expected. The "focus check" mode takes slightly more time but removes any doubt about the focus by allowing you to zoom. The MPEG-4 movie mode works well. When I chose the A580 I had no intention of using the movie mode but it has been useful. Focusing is quick when the optical viewfinder is selected. Picture quality is good. Battery life is good. Noise is low even for high ISO settings.

Cons: The optical viewfinder has a smaller image than of the Nikon D7100. I wear glasses and find it adequate but wish it were better. The "live view" mode provides a viable alternate for many situations. The flip-out display sticks out on the back. This has not been a significant issue. The bare LCD is very susceptible to smudges. With an LCD screen protector this has not been an issue. I do not like the sweep panorama mode because it hammers the shutter like the burst photo mode. I might be overly sensitive to things that stress the shutter. I wish it had a more normal panorama mode with manual shutter release. I could not find a movie player for AVCHD format for the Mac. MPEG-4 formatted movies works fine. I wish there was a setting to limit the maximum ISO in AUTO ISO mode.

There are many features in the camera, such as 3D pictures, which I either have not used or have no interest in.

Overall, I am very pleased with the A580. I would recommend it for others. I will probably use the A580 as my primary DSLR and my repaired A700 as a backup.

dont listen to any one buy this camera if you prefer to do high iso photo shooting(bounce flash).

Comments about Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Digital SLR (Body Only):

I've paired this baby up with the Zeiss 24-70 and have been very happy with the A580 so far. I use this as my second camera to the Nik D3s and have been pleasantly surprised with its low light capabilities. I especially like new feature such as a sweeping panoramic mode in a dslr. Sony definitely gets high marks for innovation in my books. My only parting comment is that the colour reproduction of the colour red is a bit exaggerated.

Comments about Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Digital SLR (Body Only):

I am an amateur photographer and I takes varies types of photos including landscape, architecture, people, macro, and snap shots. I use Carl Zeiss 1680, 70300G, and Sigma 30.4 lens. a580 is an amazing improvement from previous models of alpha DSLR cameras. We can now takes pictures with 3200 ISO, which was 'impossible' before due to noise. In addition, unlike DSLT models that Sony seems to be concentrating on (a580 might be the last DSLR; we will see after a77s market share), a580 has optical viewfinder. I upgraded from a200 and I must say that it feels good when I grab the camera; my pinky finally has a place to rest. Oh, I forgot to mention that battery life is just amazing. I have two batteries and haven't changed yet (50% @ hundreds of pictures + 3 video shoots). Beware that LCD screen is too great that you might be disappointed at some pictures when you see them in PC. Only downside of this camera seems to be the fact that there is no autofocus for the video, which makes it useless for moving objects. Another issue with 'some' Sony cameras is that there are usually slight focusing problems. [...] Other than autofocusing issue with video and Sony service [...] I love a580. I will be using this camera for a long time.

Comments about Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Digital SLR (Body Only):

I am a photographer that is paid for my work, I wouldn't label myself a "pro" as my photos aren't 1005 of my income. That being said I have used a few cameras in my work. I have used a d7000 and toyed with an a850. The a580 is an all around great camera. It is plastic, and as I have said in many other reviews of this camera, I don't shoot jagged rocks while rolling around, so this make no difference to myself. Feels good in my hand and the image quality is fantastic, same sensor as the d7000 which costs around $500 more. While people may bash this camera for not being metal or being Sony, this camera gets me paid and that's all that matters. My photos turn out great, and I had money left over to buy a nice lens for it. All in all this camera was a great buy and I do not regret it at all. Don't hesitate with this camera it is awsome.
