I try to always carry a camera with me, and prefer a belt attached case. This case finally enables me to carry my EP-1 + 20 mm Pan-lens with joy and ease. It's very well constructed with sturdy materials. The belt loop seems short and stiff enough to avoid the case to start "wiggling". It's actually very comfortable to wear. I'm thinking of taking the shoulder strap off my camera and maybe find a smaller hand-strap instead as the camera now will be either in the case or in my hand. The outside pouch is big enough for a spare battery and some SD cards.
This is a must have for casual/daily use. As it makes carrying the camera so easy, I claim it even improves the camera's function :-)

I thought this would be the perfect accessory to my new E-PL2, but I simply could not make the camera with attached kit lens fit inside the case without forcing it. I decided it wasn't worth it [...] because I didn't want to constantly shove the camera inside and scrape it against the zipper each time. Another half inch all the way around, and this would be a fine product. It did seem to be well constructed.

soft cover canvas case, is a little tight for my Oly EPL-3 with kit 24-42mm lens, though it does fit.

As most the reviews say it's a tight fit. Good! If I strap this to my belt and go hiking I don't want the camera flopping around. I want it secured. It has some limited storage so you can carry an extra battery and memory card. Well made and at this price point an outstanding value

Comments about Olympus Pen Casual Case for EP-1, EP2 or EPL-1 Pen Digital Cameras:
I've got bigger cases for when I want to take some lenses, flash, etc. with. But for my EPL1 and 14-42 with filter, it works fine when wanting to carry light. Since the camera's got to fit in sideways, any bigger lens wouldn't work. I can get two extra batteries, two extra cards in the mesh interior pocket (a tight fit) and the VF2 in the front. I also use a metal lens hood and run the main buckle through, so it carries a surprising amount of stuff. The newer 14-42 VII might be a slight bit longer, I'm not sure. This case should fit any with a 14-42 VI or shorter, such as the Panasonic 14mm,20mm or Olympus 17mm. It seems made very well for how reasonably priced it is, and makes a very small package out of an EPL1 with kit lens. They should have made it just a tad wider and maybe hogher, then it could have carried the camera in a down pointing fashion (holster style), giving some room for a bit wider and longer lens, and it wouldn't have noticeably increased the outside dimensions.

When it says: "designed to carry an Olympus ... EPL-1 digital camera with ... small zoom lens." IT MEANS IT!!! ... JUST a + 10 mm2 on the base would be great!!!

I bought this case to use with my new Olympus Pen EP-3. It is very small and cheap. However, the EP-3 with the kit lens (14-42) enter very tigh and you can not even use the pocket for a spare battery, otherwise the camera will not enter. It´s finishing is good, but I prefer the Lowepro or Kata standard.

I should have read the other reviews. But, I saw a published Olympus accessory for my new camera and ordered it.
Otherwise, it seems like a well made case, just not to PEN size...

Comments about Olympus Pen Casual Case for EP-1, EP2 or EPL-1 Pen Digital Cameras:
The case seems to be well made, but contrary to representations, it really is too small for the Olympus e-pl2 with the 14-42mm attached. It's an extremely tight squeeze even without a filter on the lens, but with a filter it's impossible. I imagine that this is one reason most places (like B&H) no longer have it in stock.

I saw several reviewers say that this case was too small for the E-PL2 which made me a little nervous but I took a leap of faith and bought it anyway. I found that I have no problem with the fit of the case. With a filter attached to the lens it is a little snug but not enough to bother me - it still goes in and out of the case without much effort. The case itself itself is very nice in my opinion as long as you don't mind a snug fit.

The case fits the Olympus Pen EPL-1 pretty snugly with the 14-42mm lens. Definitely worth the money but a little on the small side.

This case is offered as fitting the Olympus E-PL2 SLR, but it doesn't fit well at all. The case is a generic case. I ordered it over the internet assuming it was designed for the camera, but it doesn't so the money was wasted.

I use this case for a EPL-2 equipped with the new standard kit lens. It does the job reasonably well but -as pointed out by other reviewers-the case could be a tad larger.

Item used to house camera during transport in luggage or on my person
Case is small [Great]
Case is light [Great]
Case just fits the Pen Camera
Belt loop good feature
Small zipper pocket holds perhaps 2 or 3 memory cards
Two zippers and fold over cover and clasp easy to close
If you want to use camera quickly, not a good choice, as must unclip, and unzip to gain access. For security in crowded places tight fit and two covers are good features.

Comments about Olympus Pen Casual Case for EP-1, EP2 or EPL-1 Pen Digital Cameras:
This is the solid case for the EP2 camera. The size is exactly fit the camera with a 14-42 zoom lens mounted. It is a little tight but a good fit. The materials is strong and the zipper at the cover helps preventing the dusts. The stripe is also strong and reasonable. I would suggest to change the plastic hook with some smaller metal rings to make it look nicer. There is a small bag attached to the cover from inside which is convenient to store additional battery or memory chips or cleaning cloths. I like the design so far.

Comments about Olympus Pen Casual Case for EP-1, EP2 or EPL-1 Pen Digital Cameras:
My camera fits very snuggly in this case. I added a uv filter and at first it seemed to tight, but now the bag seems to have stretched ever so slightly to fit. It is sturdy and has a nice long strap to drape across my torso from shoulder to hip so that I don't accidentally leave it somewhere like I did with a past camera and bag. I do wish that it had a bit more space and a larger pocket to hold money and credit card so that I don't need another bag.

Case Can't fit E-PL2 with the 14-42 kit lens and a filter. Perhaps with out the filter it may fit, but will be tight. Fits with a pancake lens.

Nice camera bag. Seems to be well made and sturdy.
It came with a shoulder strap (which isn't shown in the picture).
I don't think it will protect the camera from being crushed. I was a little worried about my camera when someone was pushing on it while sitting between seats in the vehicle.
The bag is really tight to get the camera in and out when an filter is on the standard lens of the E-PL2.

This is a nicely designed small case, but as mentioned in other reviews[...] it is possible to cram the E-PL2 with kit 14-42mm lens attached, it is way too snug to be convenient.

I bought it to protect and carry my e-pl2. Can fit if attached to 20mm pancake or the kit lens. It does not fit with the evf attached, but the evf can fit it detached. Good for everyday shooting if you are only shooting with the kit/panny lens.

This is a nice case if you want to carry your m4/3 camera with an attached pancake lens. Too small if the kit zoom 14-42mm is attached with a hood and filter, which is why only 4 stars. I carry a spare lens and batterry in it, with my EPL-1 around my neck and it makes a nice small kit.
