Traveling and photography--a winning combination that just got huge boost from Casio's Exilim Hi-Zoom EX-H20G Digital Camera With Hybrid GPS (Black), the world's first digital camera with autonomic indoor positioning through Hybrid GPS. Not only does the camera always tell you exactly where on earth you are, it even keeps track of your position when you're indoors, where it can't receive signals from the GPS satellites (that's the autonomic part). When the camera is turned off, it still takes readings every 10 minutes. The result is that you can geotag photos and videos with ultra precision, and you can see your current position on a map displayed right on the camera's bright 3" LCD monitor.
The EX-H20G has a treasure trove of useful travel information in addition to the map--a world atlas including detailed maps of 140 world cities plus 12 cities in Japan, 10,000 photos of popular sights world-wide, digital compass, and a location name database with 1 million entries so the camera can display the name of your location.
And let's not forget that this is a camera--it's got a 14.1MP CCD sensor for high resolution photos, a 10x zoom lens (24-240mm equivalent) that carries you from very wide-angle for landscapes and tight spaces all the way to long telephoto to get you close to your subject (plus macro for ultra close-up photos), Premium Auto setting that automatically optimizes all camera settings for any scene you choose to shoot, built-in flash, white balance options, image stabilization to prevent blurry photos due to hand shake, high sensitivity up to ISO 3200 for low-light pictures and dazzling HD video at 720p resolution. And it does it all with very low power consumption, using just 1 rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It's time to put on those travelin' shoes.

Comments about Casio Exilim HI-Zoom EX-H20G Digital Camera (Black):
I used this camera mostly for work purposes. Many of the projects I work on require geotagged photos, as well as the direction of the photo. The gps worked flawlessly and obtained a position faster than every other gps camera I have used. I am utilizing the function that allows the camera to grab a location even when turned off, however it has been over a week and the battery is still going strong. The compass also worked well. I had taken some pictures underground(in a tunnel) and the location and direction were correct. The image quality is very good, as is the display quality. The only bad things I can say about the camera is it is slightly larger than most point and shoot cameras on the market, also it is a little slow at shutting down and retracting the lens. Otherwise I am very satisfies with this camera and would recommend it to anyone who needs the gps and compass functions. Excellent camera.

Comments about Casio Exilim HI-Zoom EX-H20G Digital Camera (Black):
I'm very active in mountain biking, road riding, & hiking in all weather & all over so I upgraded from my last Casio (which I dropped) to include the hybrid-GPS which makes this one a bit bigger. I need compact, easy to use yet wonderful quality pics. I have this. I frequently get comments about my photos like: What kind of camera do you have? You should enter this in a contest.
Haven't tried to mess with the GPS function yet so no comment there.
My complaint would be I'd love a viewfinder because it's so hard to make out your terrain in bright light on the LCD.
Another drawback is that the battery cover latch seems to open too easily. I compensate for that by covering it with a bit of electrical tape.
The zoom is great; however, when you zoom all the way it is very difficult to not shake unless you can use it on a tripod. (I'm sure this is true for all smaller cameras.)
All in all, since I'm not willing to carry a heavier, bulkier camera, I'm very happy with my Casio. If I ever get more time, I know I could grow as a photo enthusiast by delving into all the various options on this camera.

A great camera but it has a fairly steep learning curve for a beginner.

Comments about Casio Exilim HI-Zoom EX-H20G Digital Camera (Black):
Camera takes great pictures and has lots of features. Good battery life. However, if you want a camera with GPS accuracy printed on the pictures, try the Panasonic. GPS system works fine but it doesn't give an accurate presentation of my current position. I live near Tampa but the GPS location says Cuba. I can't recommend this camera ONLY because the GPS feature needs a fix and even with my complaints, an update has not come forth as this is written.
