Like lots of others I have been pretty frustrated with traditional straps. I previously used a neoprene around the neck style that I'd throw over my shoulder. Didn't feel very secure with long lenses and I'd usually just wind up always holding the lens (with hand strap).
My first big test with this guy was going to the zoo with my 2 year old. I had a ThinkTank Retrospective 20 over one shoulder (half camera stuff and half kid stuff), and 5d2 with 70-200 2.8 + 1.4 TC over the other with this strap (attached to lens collar). At the end I felt great, not tired or sore at all. (Padding is great and the little fold that keeps it from touching the top of your shoulder is perfect.) And the camera was always accessible so I got a lot of shots I wouldn't have otherwise and was able to quickly "drop" the camera and chase after the little one at a moments notice with two free hands.
My biggest concern before buying was that it wouldn't feel secure. But I felt very comfortable running after my toddler with all that gear. Also way more comfortable than I expected. Couldn't be happier with it.

I've been using this strap for traveling and for outdoor/studio shootings. It's a lot better than the original camera strap. If you are wearing a camerabag and the strap, the camera always gets in your way. Also if you're doing active stuff like biking or hiking. I banged my camera against stuff a lot. And the Strap also takes up a lot of space in the camerabag. And the pro version compared to the one is not as good because if you want to take the camera off the strap it takes you a long time. Also the rubber-ring tends to stick to the camera bottom when removing the bearing.
I've bought a belt holster after this strap and am a lot happier with that.
Pros:
- quick camera draw
- less neck pain
- looks cool
Cons:
- uses a lot of space in camerabag
- camera swings around a lot and bangs against things if you're leaning forward
- very hot and umcomfortable in hot weather
- taking it off is a hassle because plastic ring always sticks to camera bottom
- not good with camerabag
- not good for biking

Comfortable and secure. Good construction overall. Haven't had issues with tangling or the pad running from shoulder when carrying a camera with it.

Comments about California Sunbounce Sun-Sniper Strap Pro:
I use it for hauling around a pro body with heavy lenses. I like the way the weight disperses when it's just hanging from your side. It makes the camera easy to bring up for a shot. Shock absorbing minimizes bounce when moving quickly. Biggest problem is keeping the pad on your shoulder. It tends to slip up and down as you lift and lower the camera. Another issue is that the mount on the bottom keeps you from using a tripod and can be slightly obtrusive when using the camera vertically.

Comments about California Sunbounce Sun-Sniper Strap Pro:
I do a lot of different types of photography and some of that is in very busy areas, like Times Square. The ability to rapidly bring the camera to shoot and the safety of the steel line through the strap give me the security and confidence of shooting in those crowded places.

Comments about California Sunbounce Sun-Sniper Strap Pro:
I shoot a lot of sports. So during the times when there is no action I was always holding my camera. With the new strap I can rest my arm and hand.
The strap is very good quality, and performs well.
I had some doubts about just letting my camera hang down to my side. But I have no doubt the strap and swivel will hold.
The shoulder padding is comfortable. It doesn't move around and fits well.

Very Nice strap, comfortable. I wish it connected to the hooks on the camera instead of the tripod socket on the bottom. It makes me a little nervous.

I use the strap on vacations to shoot on the go. It is easy to use and leaves my hands free and the camera is easily reached and ready to go. I love the safety feature of the cable within the strap.

Comments about California Sunbounce Sun-Sniper Strap Pro:
The stock strap with most cameras seem to be more about advertising what brand you shoot with as opposed to actually providing a comfortable, efficient manner in which to carry your camera.
It is quite simply awesome. You can bring your camera up to shoot with great speed and bring it back to rest just as easily when done. It is not hanging in front of you and pulling on your neck. The fatigue of wandering around with a DSLR is no longer present. Pricey? Yeah a little. Worth it? Without a doubt.

Comments about California Sunbounce Sun-Sniper Strap Pro:
I stumbled upon this type of camera strap accidentally while researching my next digital camera. (I ended up buying the Pentax K5. Also 5-stars!)
This strap uses an ingenious design, borrowed from its origins with rifles during wartime dating back to the 19th century.
I've been involved with photography for 45 years and have used many different neck-straps and hand-straps, but this gadget beats them all.
I compared the Sun-Sniper with other brands. All brands give the benefits of the sling approach, but I preferred the Sun-Sniper because:
- The ball-bearing in the tripod-screw assembly makes a difference. (When I first got it, it squeaked, so I used a little WD-40, and it's been fine ever since - over a year.)
- Doesn't have any quick-release clips. To me, they are just an invitation to theft! I don't mind the slowness of undoing Velcro to adjust the strap-length. Especially since I do it twice a year: once for wearing a jacket and once when I don't wear jackets!
- Metal wire running throughout the strap to prevent someone stealing the camera by cutting the strap with a knife.
- The "shock-absorber" actually works well.
As I said, I'd never heard of this sling approach before. You really have to try it to appreciate just how much better this is than a traditional neck-strap.

Comments about California Sunbounce Sun-Sniper Strap Pro:
This is the best strap and although it's not cheap it is worth it for the quality and design. I can carry my DSLR with me all day and not even think about it. I did try the Black Rapid and returned it for the Sun-Sniper. I didn't like the connector that Black Rapid uses; I prefer the way Sun-Sniper Pro uses the ball-bearing fitting to allow the camera to swivel. I have been recommending this strap to all of my camera buddies.

I use the strap to hold my Canon 5D mkII with large lenses (300f2.8) and it works great- Much easier on the neck than the stock Canon strap. My only comment is that at first it was a bit stiff but it has since softened a bit.

Comments about California Sunbounce Sun-Sniper Strap Pro:
For me it was important to have the CARABINER, but the model I recieved did not have it!
It turns out that there are several letters added to the model number (you normally won't pay attention to it) that describes different models with small differences. One, very important, is that they include or not the carabiner. Very upset at Sun-Sniper.
Once you start to use it, and so you take your camera from your hip to your face, the movement induces the strap and padding backwards, so after 3 "pictures" I find myself with the padding in the middle of my back -usless-. So I have to re position the strap all the time. Not nice.
The upper part, adjustment and padding, is TOO BULKY.

Comments about California Sunbounce Sun-Sniper Strap Pro:
To be honest, I was a little sceptical at the price, however, seeing my friend with one, I persuaded him to let me use it, and that was the tipping point for me. I had been using the strap attached on the camera around my neck and slung under a shoulder, but this product is an absolute must for semi-pros and pros alike. It is worth every dollar, with thief-proofing an added bonus
