Comments about Iomega SuperSpeed USB 3.0 eGo BlackBelt Portable Hard Drive (500GB, Jet Black):
Iomega eGo Blackbelt has put an end to all my storage woes. With backup taken regularly I do not worry anymore about losing vital data from my desktop. The device is simple to operate and does not require any IT skills, just basic computer knowledge would do. eGo Blackbelt is a true black belt when it comes to performance. The protection suite software and the 256-bit encryption takes all my security concerns away. The device can be password protected and therefore no data leakage is possible.
What makes eGo one of the best selling external drives is because of the confidence Iomega has on their product which is why it comes with a three year limited warranty.

Comments about Iomega SuperSpeed USB 3.0 eGo BlackBelt Portable Hard Drive (500GB, Jet Black):
I use it as a back up to my files. I like the protective cover, and the size. I'm not real tech savvy, and this was easy to use. I haven't experienced anything negative about it.

Comments about Iomega SuperSpeed USB 3.0 eGo BlackBelt Portable Hard Drive (500GB, Jet Black):
If your computer or laptop comes equipped with a USB 3.0 port, the added speed of a backup drive with 3.0 connectivity can be a much valued investment.
Other thoughts:
* If you needed the added storage capacity, which I did not, the incremental cost for a larger drive is very justified.
* The software is quite satisfactory, but I use a program from another vendor, which provides greater flexibility.
* Installation is easy and seamless.

Comments about Iomega SuperSpeed USB 3.0 eGo BlackBelt Portable Hard Drive (500GB, Jet Black):
Light, compact, the belt makes it more solid. Got this cheaper by [$] plus [...]. Easy to install (pre-formatted to NTFS) I don't have USB 3.0 interface but the USB 2.0 speed is used at its best because the disk that comes with it reads and writes fast. I use this on my MAC OSX 10.6 and it's compatible even if it is NTFS. Had to reformat it to HFS Ext (my preference- as a MAC User)
