With "getting the work done" as its focus, the M1536dnf has a full-featured fax that boasts a transmission speed of 3 pages per second, supports PC faxing, and a 400-page fax memory. The copier can process up to 99 copies at a time, at speeds up to 26 copies per minute. This LaserJet Pro delivers crisp text with up to 1200 dpi effective resolution at speeds up to 26 pages per minute/ppm for a letter-size document. It will handle up to 8.5 x 14"/legal size plain paper and business stationery, envelopes, labels, postcards and even transparencies.
The M1536dnf was built to provide professional quality text and graphics. It has a fast, 500 MHz processor and PostScript support. This translates into faster processing of data while allowing the computer to multi-task with fewer interruptions, and enabling efficient handling of a wide variety of fonts and graphics.
The LaserJet Pro M1536dnf comes with a 250-sheet input tray which can accommodate many types of business media and has 35- page automatic document feeder for unattended scanning, copying and faxing. It is equipped for automatic two-side duplex printing which can not only reduce paper usage, but can meet your creative needs with two-sided sell sheets, brochures or other business documents.

Had to guess my way through in assembling the parts, since no instruction manual came with the new machine. No explanation came for dealing with the complex keyboard of the unit. Attachable trays look too flimsy and easily breakable. When machine couldn't link with the iMAC a long conversation with HP tech support finally discovered that the software and drivers to work with the Leo operating system had not yet been developed. Machine returned to dealer to seek a different Multifunction Monochrome machine by another manufacturer, if one exists to work with my iMAC/Leo unit.
