Comments about Kino Flo 4' Kino 800ma 525 Green SFC Colored Lamp (6 Lamps):
I used these with two Kino-Flo Tegra banks, and a Lastolite 10x12' Green Muslin background.
The green lamps made the green screen pop. With a consumer Sony camera (ie not a good camera for chroma-key), I was able to key the video in Sony Vegas, selecting "Pure Green Screen", and with NO changes to the low threshold values. The high threshold had to be brought down slightly.
Lights were set 7' from the screen. I moved as far as 10-12' from the screen.
An issue I had was with green light reflecting off walls and items on the sides of my studio. To reduce that I had to move further from the screen. A better hair light would help with the key as well. If you have a pro camcorder, these lights may not be necessary.
I would not use these lights if you have limited space in the studio.
The coated tubes are a nice feature. They feel more durable. None of 12 I received were defective.
